I have owned dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils and hamsters all my life. I actively foster dogs for a local animal rescue, which has become a passion for me. I now dog sit for many of the pups I once fostered through adoption and love seeing them thrive. I have my own dogs who are used to welcoming furry guests into their home and get along well with them. I also have cats that tolerate the dogs in their house but mostly stay away from them. I am open to cat-sitting cats that are FeLv+ or vaccinated for feline leukemia, as my personal cats are FeLv+. I have a separate cat room for feline fosters and/or clients, but, to be cautious, require the leukemia vaccine in clients. I do work full-time four days a week as a victim advocate for a local police department. My dogs and furry clients have use of a dog door to the fenced yard during my work day. I also have an animal loving teenage daughter who attends online school at home and helps care for our animals and clients when I'm at work. She loves teaching our dogs agility tricks and exercising them in the yard. We have a number of different sized crates, dog beds, leashes, collars, dog dishes, etc., so there's no need to provide anything but your dog's favorite bed, blanket, or toy, and his or her food.
