I love each and every quirk of a dog––and the best part is the discovery phase, which comes from spending quality time with them. I’ve been caring for dogs for over 25 years, so I’ve had the pleasure of knowing some fantastic personalities. For example, my Corgi/Shepard Mix loves anything with big rocks. So much so, if I turn my head for a moment, she’ll find climb onto the ledge of a building. My childhood dogs Lady and Lucky used to have a kind of ritual before eating their food. I have a friend whose dog eats snow, but only certain kinds. Joy is really about catching the little things. As much as we do for our animals, they give so much back tenfold. As a protective and doting fur mom, I know having someone new, some stranger off the Internet with your pet can be stressful, so I promise to be in full communication with you and do everything to prove I’m a great pet sitter. I’m an open book, so I value honesty, integrity, and fun. I’ve always had this natural ease with animals, and I think you and your dog will feel the same with me. I’m in the midst of getting certified in pet CPR and emergency training. I’m also super lucky to have vet technician friends on-call, access to Hollywood Feed discounts and free products, as well as access to an OSU veterinary school for whatever reason. I also love working with children and was a kindergarten teacher and educator for close to five years. I am well versed in high energy situations that require patience, compassion, and a healthy sense of humor. I’ve decided to make a career change so I can be more mindful and create more serenity and joy in my life. I’ve realized working with animals, dogs in particular, brings a certain kind of peace. As I make this transition, I’m eager to learn as much as possible and to make myself totally available to new experiences and friendships. I am totally open to all breeds, sizes, ages, and special needs. I really believe each and every animal has their own unique spirit, and I want to embrace them as they come. Whatever the personality and temperament of your dog, I will tailor my service to fit the needs of your fur baby. Whether it’s avoiding certain foods or administering medications, I will go above and beyond to make sure your dog is getting the absolutely best care. I believe dogs are a part of our family, so please trust I will love your dog as s/he were my own.
