We hired Andrea to pet-sit at our house, Friday to Sunday. At our meet and greet, I asked Andrea if she had much to do over the weekend, because when she was away from the house our dog would need to be crated and we didn’t want her to be crated for more than a couple hours each day if possible. Andrea said no, she didn’t have much to do and she would “maybe just run to the grocery store for a few minutes.” That was fine with us, and we liked Andrea interpersonally , so we hired her. On Saturday afternoon a neighbor texted me asking if Andrea was supposed to be at the house and telling me that her car had hardly been there at all. I approached Andrea with humility (the neighbor could be wrong; maybe she is at the house and someone borrowed her car, etc) and Andrea relayed that she had gone out to lunch with family, was currently away from the house (it was 3:30) and was going out to dinner and would be back after dinner. So obviously this is a lot more than a quick trip to the grocery store. I replied saying basically, “woah, that’s a lot- I wish I would have known you were going to be away so much.” And a couple of hours later - Saturday at 7pm- Andrea *cancelled the booking in the middle of the weekend.* As in, she said: I fed the animals dinner and put the dog in the crate for the night, you don’t trust me, I won’t be back. We were 3 hours away, on a short vacation with three kids, and no plans to return until Sunday At dinner time! I honestly was completely floored by Andreas un professionalism , and her willingness to let the dog sit in the crate for 24 hours- from a supposed animal lover?! We spent two hours Saturday night on the phone with Rover, and talking with family and friends to make a safe plan for the animals. Anyway, bottom line: Andrea told us what we wanted to hear and then did whatever she wanted. When she was caught, she walked out in the middle of the booking. The fact that she lied about how much she would be home is a problem, but it was the walking out in the middle of the booking that prompted this one-star review

Andrea was wonderful! She watched our 2 boxers for 10 days while we were on Christmas break back in Texas. We came home to a clean house with freshly baked cookies which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend Andrea to anyone!
