Andi was amazing! We felt super comfortable and our cats were very loved. She sent us pictures every time she visited and we appreciated it very much!

Let me start by saying Andi is sweet and my dog seemed to adore her. These are the only reasons I gave her 2 stars instead of one. I hate leaving bad reviews but I feel it is absolutely necessary to share so anyone considering hiring her for in-home dog sitting can make an informed decision. She mentioned that on work days, she might work 5 hours max, which was rare. I work long hours sometimes so I told her if she ends up needing to work longer days, I have people that can stop by and let my dog out to go to the bathroom. One of the days (which was a holiday) after 8 hours of her being gone, I had to resort to reaching out to my friend to let my dog out and to also feed her dinner. By the time Andi had come back to the house, it had been almost 10 hours. It was a holiday so I would have understood if she needed me to make these arrangements ahead of time instead of scrambling last minute. The last night she “stayed” she was gone from 7pm until 3am. What was the point of me paying $100/day if she wasn’t actually going to stay at the house?? During this time, the dog had an accident on the guest bedding. Andi did tell me about this but wasn’t clear that it was poop (my dog has never pooped on furniture). When I got home, it looked like she just took care of the actual poop but there were dried, chunky/flaky poop smears all over the comforter and blanket. Multiple attempts were made to wash these but ultimately both have now have been discarded. And the pooper scooper!….I appreciate her picking up the poop but she left the scooper completely full to the point that one could not possibly add any more to it. It was almost an entire week’s worth of poop on this thing (and I do not have a small dog). The trash bin was less than 3 feet from the scooper. Why not just put it in the trash can?? If there was confusion on what to do with it, why not ask? In addition, it was raining quite a bit while I was out of town so the rain on this massive poo pile created a runny poo river along the side wall (and ironically under the trash can). Great, more poopy messes to clean up. Her communication is not the best. She seemed to have difficulty with scheduling meets (rescheduled multiple times), which was fine…I get it, we are all busy. However, in retrospect, I wish I would have taken that as a sign to move on to Plan B. She did not send regular updates at first, resulting in me requesting a daily update. This was okay, I know each sitter is different on this, but just keep in this in mind if you want at least one daily update. However, I will note that after the incident of needing to have someone else feed my dog and let her out, I did start receiving a daily update without requesting it. Overall, as mentioned, Andi is pleasant. I’d imagine she is fantastic for drop-ins and dog walking. For dog/house sitting, I would firmly recommend looking elsewhere!
