Pet care experience
DUE TO INCREASE IN REQUESTS please allow up to 24h for me to respond. Thank you for your understanding! Hi there, I’m Ana! And I was kinda born in a zoo. By that I mean 5 cats, 1 protection dog, 8 (or was it 9?) yorkies, 3 fish tanks, 2 turtles… one might say I was destined/doomed to work with animals, and while exploring sport psychology and event management careers, I kept coming back to animal care again and again. Around 2016, I started offering it professionally. Now, years later, I work with animals full time. Here's a few somewhat "unusual" clients I cared for: 2-week bottle-fed kitten, neonatal puppies (starting with their birth), slightly aggressive iguana with teeth sharp as broken glass, fresh water fish/newts/frogs and leash-walking ferret.

Anastasiia is fantastic. Super reliable and great to work with. I knew my cat was in good hands! Cannot recommend her enough!
Always great, very communicative and excellent at making sure my cat gets her medicine every day.

I am insured privately and am pet First Aid/CPR certified. I back up collars/harnesses (either by added leash attachment or by carabiner) on walks and for dogs, will AirTag your pup if it’s a house stay or boarding. 1. WALKS and DROP-INS are offered in 30-min or 60-min intervals. Administration of any medication is included (drops, inhalers, pills, creams etc). “Countdown” starts once I have entered your apartment and stops with my exit. There is a 5-min free window added to each visit regardless of its length - that is the time spent on taking off shoes/coats or leashing up pups. If you are using lock boxes, please make sure they are functional and are not rusted. For summer and winter walks, if temperatures are very high or very low, we'll discuss exact length of time your baby can safely spend outside! 2. BOARDING is priced per night, up to 24 hours. (For example, one-day overnight booking would look like: Drop-off at 12pm on Mon, pick-up before or at 12pm on Tue). If more time needed, doggie daycare fee will be applied to booking's total. For all my boarding clients: - I don’t combine housesitting and boarding on my schedule: If I’m boarding, those days I’m not housesitting; if I’m housesitting, those days I’m not boarding. - We always have at least 4 let outs per day: 2 long walks (30-60 minutes) and 2 potty breaks (unless your dog's health requires shorter and/or more frequent potty breaks). There is an abundance of green areas around my neighborhood, main being Prospect and Mt Prospect parks and Grand Army Plaza. - Administration of any medication is included. If you brush your pup's teeth, so will I. Doggos that stay with me for over a week can get a free bath with tearless puppy shampoo ;) - If I have to leave to do some drop-ins, walks or chores, I'm spying on my boarders through motion-activated Blink cameras. Makes a great content sometimes too. - If your pup is crate trained and/or prefers to sleep and nap in one, a crate will be set up for them at my place - just bring their favorite bed/blanket. It really adds to their sense of comfort and safety. - I do require an in-person meet and greet for every boarding to access if we are a good fit. I also have a (fantastic) cat, so I must see your pups reaction first hand. In some cases I ask for a part of M&G to be without you - usually when dog had history of separation anxiety. It will allow us both to see how your pup reacts without you and make a better decision on our fit! We can also schedule a trial run that will be longer and last about 2-4 hours. 3. HOUSESITTING is priced per night, up to 24 hours and includes sleeping at your place, any medication, playtime and 4 let outs per day: 2 walks (30-60 min) and 2 potty breaks. There is a surcharge of $50/day if I cannot bring along my own dog. - An in-person meet and greet is required for all new clients. - I do ask permission to use your kitchen for basic cooking. - I am totally okay with security cameras as long as they are not in the room I am sleeping at. - This is not a 24-h care, please reach out for custom fee if you are looking for a 24h-always around booking. I do those. For usual housesitting, example of the day can look like: 7pm-9am I am at your place, 9-12pm gone, 12-3pm at your place, 3-7pm gone, after 7 at your place.
Information Anastasiia S. would like to know about your pet
For cats and dogs: 1. Allergies and medical conditions, vaccination records and if they are up to date on preventatives (optional for fully indoor cats in no dog households) 2. Noise/light/object triggers if there are any 3. Known favorite activities 4. “Petting charts” - what areas, if any, they prefer to be pet on and what areas are a no-no. 5. Your house rules (so we can stay consistent!) For cats: 1. If TV can be left on with YouTube videos for cats or something else for them to watch 2. Do they scratch-bite during play and pets? If yes, then are you ok with me trimming their nails? 3. If they are an escape artist or hide-and-seek fans ;) For dogs: 1. If they are crate trained; 2. What commands (I mean specific words, like Off vs Down) do you use with them and what is their training level like in general; 3. What are their leash manners. Side note: if you are a parent of a strong puller OR if you use an EasyWalk harness, we will discuss what equipment I might use during their stay (it’s provided by me).
A typical day
For cats and dogs: sniffle mats and puzzle toys. Cats: pro-grade laser playtime, bean massage, outings if they’re into it! Dogs: tug of war, flirt pole, hikes in Prospect Park, 30ft line “off leash” experience
