I am firm in commands and know how to handle a dog on the busy New York streets, all while going above and beyond to make sure your pup feels safe and loved. If I'm sitting for you, I'll do my best to keep to your personal routine (if you have one) of walks and mealtime so that your dog's regular needs are met... with playtime and cuddling, too! Dogs are my first love. Growing up in California, my family always had dogs - a rescued Doberman Pinscher, a Golden Retriever, a Border Collie mix, and an English Pointer mix, throughout the years. Now in New York, I spent nearly three years as the secondary caretaker to my then-boyfriend's beautiful Pitbull, who we raised from a three month old puppy, and always jump at the opportunity to care for my friends' dogs when they need a hand.

Anastasia was enthusiastic, responsive, and thorough throughout the entire process. I would recommend her to others looking around Rover for superior cat care. She was willing to stop by the apartment before booking/confirming just to meet the cat and make sure he was comfortable with her. During the stay she was in touch with photos and updates. It felt like a friend was there watching the cat. She was friendly and warm. We'll surely consider Anastasia again.
This was my first experience with Rover and Anastasia made the whole process incredibly easy. Replied to my initial request promptly. Listened to me ramble on about all my pup's quirks and needs ... and was happy to meet at my apt asap to confirm a plan. My little guy took to her immediately and seems to have a new bud. Anastasia also took in all the info about my apartment with ease -- and treated it with great respect. I think she even unloaded the dishwasher ... in a good way, it's like no one was here at all! I was also quite busy on my trip, but Anastasia provided multiple daily updates along with pics, just to make sure I was well informed and that I knew that all was well back home. A++
Anastasia loved animals from the very beginning of her life, and at her urging her family had four dogs -- three at one time -- and one cat during her growing up years. Her best essay in grade school was about Goldy, and included a picture she took of him garlanded by a ring of flowers she had woven. Now her living circumstances don't allow her to have a dog, so your dog would receive all the love and care she would lavish on her own pet. Besides being a dog lover, Anastasia has a strong work ethic. She shows up when she says she will and does the job well. She's motivated, energetic, cheerful, cooperative, disciplined, and well-organized. Any dog would love her for a companion, and if it's your dog, you will love her as your dog-walker.
Anastasia is far and away one of the most responsible and conscientious people I know. My dog Sally has been in her care multiple times, and I trust her to be consistent with her training and exacting with feeding/treating, which isn't always the case with other sitters/walkers. She's always on schedule and is extremely respectful as a guest when she's had to dog/house-sit simultaneously. Most importantly, though, Sally adores her, and when she sees Anastasia her tail wags so hard it might fall off!! Not only is she is gentle and loving with all dogs - she's also a wonderful, friendly person and a pleasure to interface with. In short, I highly recommend her. She's definitely our number one choice!
