Pet care experience
Hello there! I am a master student from France. I go by Declan but both names are fine, and my preferred pronouns are he/they. When I moved to Scotland in late 2019, I had to leave my own pets in France with my parents. So I started this little pet-sitting career in 2020 to fill the pet-shaped hole in my life and I've never regretted the decision. I have plenty of experience, on top of my childhood spent with cats and dogs, (and I did horse riding for more than ten years until I had to go to college). Reliable and responsible, I would love to help you take care of your fur babies. I have much love and cuddles and treats to give. I know how much time and care is needed to make our beloved pets the happiest on earth (and they deserve no less). I can assure you I’ll do my best to ensure your beloved pet will be properly looked after. I will respect your baby’s own character as they are all unique, and your recommandations and wishes will be followed. Anaïs is a reliable and conscientious sitter who related to our dog and ourselves very well. She sat for 2days and 1 night in our home which was left in immaculate condition. She updated us about our dog whilst we were away and was flexible in changing times at the end of the sit. We would definitely recommend her and she is booked for more sits with us.
Anaïs was great with Geordi. Anaïs listened carefully to all of our comments about G’s quirks, and took great care of him. Highly recommend!
Bernard was very content to be left in Anais’ care and was happy and calm when we returned. Anais is a very pleasant person who is empathetic and caring. Bernard is looking forward to being cared for again by Anais.
Anaïs looked after our cat Screech and did a great job. We were a bit nervous as it was our first time leaving him since we got him but we needn't have worried and we came back home to a very happy cat!

I do my best to always stay with them while they are in my care and stick to their usual schedule of meals and walkies (although I will play and walk if they ask). I try to implement any training they might be having, but mostly offer a nice and relaxed environment for them to have the best time!

I have no particular breed preferences. I would like to know about : - any habit, like food intake, daily routines, etc, to be able to care for them as best as I can and make the experience comfortable - their personality to understand them as quick as possible and avoid mistakes - any training, orders, etc, they know, to support their learning and good behaviour
A typical day
I love long walks, since my schedule is flexible I'll offer your dog at least 3 walks a day, unless contraindicated. I usually take dogs everywhere with me. I’m always ready for games too, and make sure to enrich the animal’s life with new, entertaining, or challenging activities.

Availability
I am a university student, I only have a few hours of classes per week during term time. My schedule is otherwise flexible (even more so if you book in advance!).
