Pet care experience

Welcome to Fear-Free Pet Care, As a Fear Free Veterinary and Shelter pets certified animal care professional, my services cater to pets with medical, behavioral, and cognitive needs, including anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, epilepsy, visual impairment, and specific behavior management requirements. My top priority is the wellness of all pets. I strive to maintain constant communication, ensuring each pet’s safety, physical health, and emotional well-being. With a certification in pet first-aid, I specialize in post-operative care for pets, including neutered or spayed pets, dental work, and hip surgery. My clientele varies, from first-time pet owners to rescues, shy pets to vocal-pulling dogs, and over-enthusiastic jumpers to playful biters. I excel at providing solutions for separation anxiety and reactive animals. Additionally, I volunteer at the SF SPCA Shelter Medicine, specializing in shelter pets that require medical attention and care in stressful conditions. My responsibilities include administering oral medication, medical baths, physical therapy, and grooming. I am training to become a handler in events focused on tracking and retrieval, scent work, and search and rescue. 🐶 Dog clients My tranquil demeanor often disarms dogs, while my sincere involvement wins over their affection. 🐈‍⬛ Cat clients I adore cats as pets. To ensure a tranquil and happy home for them, I attentively observe their behavior, note patterns, and pay attention to their unique ways of communicating. Creating and maintaining a low-stress environment is always my goal. 🐭🐰🦆🦔 Ask me about other pets. Thank you for considering my services. 💼 Boarding and Daycare During every stay, your pet will be welcomed into a cozy home. Your pet will hear sounds familiar to their homes, such as chatter and the occasional microwave timer. I offer cognitive stimulation with toys (e.g., Kong), meals (adding an anxiety mat), and human interactions. Your pet's care and comfort are most important. Please provide any items that may provide comfort to your pet. I provide a large crate, a raised bed, an electric blanket, chews, toys, pads, harnesses, and leashes. 🔑 Drop-in Services Please consider the following. 🚀 Share your full address (including unit number) in the initial message, if possible 🚀 Provide all necessary keys at the meet and greet (in person), at a separate time (meet and greet was over Zoom), during the first service. 🚀 Let me know what you need - sit with pets, walk pets separately, turn on the TV, and stay for a shorter duration for the total amount. 🚀 Let me know if someone else will be at the property; I’d like them to join the meet and greet. 🏠 House Sitting Please consider the following. 🙌🏽 Core beliefs 🚀Indoor Engagement Indoor activities for pets 12 weeks old and up, including seniors with mobility limitations, can include various games. “Find it” and “Touch” are games that involve teaching your dog to touch its nose to various objects or items. We may practice walking on a leash around furniture or in a small space like a hallway. Playing with balls, chews, soft toys, flirt poles, and tug-of-war toys are great ways to engage indoors. Following me around the house is another fun activity that keeps them entertained and uses their natural tracking skills. For a more playful activity, scent-based games like hide-and-seek with treats or cuddles as bonding time! 🚀Low-Stress Environment I strive to create a low-stress environment for your pet(s). I am sensitive to the needs of each pet and closely monitor them for signs of exhaustion or discomfort. I ensure that all pets feel safe and secure. I communicate with the pet owners daily, sending photos and videos, so you can see your pet happy throughout their stay. I also ensure that each pet has access to their belongings, such as opening their bag near them so they can recognize familiar things from home. Consent checks are done regularly to ensure the pet is comfortable with activities or interactions with other animals or people. Boundaries are set to ensure safety for all involved. Most importantly, I make your pet(s) feel at ease by providing comfort and attentiveness throughout their stay. I strive to follow routines like home, such as wake-up times, night routines, and meal times, so pets feel the least distress possible! 🚀Outdoor Engagement Your dog(s) may spend all day outdoors on adventures to explore the beach, long walks, sniff for hidden surprises, splash in water play, run across field grounds, discover the city by foot, and roll in fresh grass. 🚀Health and wellness I am dedicated to promoting the overall health and well-being of your beloved pets. With my certification in pet first aid and my experience in caring for post-operative pets, including those who have undergone procedures like spaying/neutering, dental work, or hip surgery, I am well-equipped to provide the care and attention that your pets need. One of my top priorities is maintaining open lines of communication with my clients to ensure their pets' safety and happiness on a daily basis. Whether you are a first-time pet owner, have adopted a rescue animal, or own a specific breed, I have worked with a diverse range of pets, including shy animals, dogs in training, energetic jumpers, and pets with a tendency to be mouthy. Additionally, I specialize in assisting with separation anxiety and reactive behaviors.

Thank you SO MUCH Ana!!! Ana did an incredible job taking care of our cat while we were traveling for a week. She really went above and beyond to ensure our cat (who is usually quite shy) was comfortable and taken care of. Our cat took to Ana immediately, and Ana did an incredible job sending photos and giving great updates. Thank you so much!

After cancelling a booking week due to Pluto going to training, Ana harassed us for 30 mins of supposed unpaid booking fees and claiming we stole her dog harness. Ana placed the harness on the dog herself without asking our permission and then when we tried to return the harness said we should keep hold of it. Ana currently has our treat bag unreturned. For an hour walk, Ana charged more than a daycare session and our dog was still energetic and hyperactive on return, suggesting she did not get adequate exercise. Ana also started preaching about the type of vet we need to use. Would not recommend if you have a dog that needs a lot of exercise.

Ana is AMAZING! They took excellent care of my two senior dogs, one of which is special needs and take medication daily. They sent so many updates and pictures, asked before giving them new treats, and did a lot of enrichment time with them. I honestly couldn't be happier, will definitely book with them again! Drop off and pick-up were very easy considering the busy location.
