My dog got sick under this sitter's care. He was healthy, happy and alive when I dropped him off. He started coughing and spitting white foam four hours after I dropped him off. He is vaccinated and I take him everywhere I go and he never got sick like that. The only dogs he has been around in the past couple weeks were the sitter's four dogs at the meet and greet in her yard. He rarely got sick at all in the past three years yet four hours after I dropped him off at the sitter, he became super sick! It's the worst thing that could happen when you are out of town. Needless to say I ended up with a ruined vacation and emergency vet bills. The sitter refuses to pay for any part of the vet visit and Rover forces the dog owner to pay for the expense as well. This was my first time using Rover and having a stranger to watch my dog and it turns out to be a horrible experience. I want to warn all the dog parents out there to be extra careful when choosing a sitter.
Our Pee-Wee had a great time with Ana and Ana's family. We had to board him for 3 weeks, which we were nervous about. We have left him with another sitter before and Pee-Wee didn't eat a lot and moped around. But I was able to put my mind at ease this time with photo/video updates and seeing him have fun with Ana's dogs and hearing that he ate every single meal! Ana was easy to communicate with and answered my questions. She had us over for a meet and greet months in advance, which we appreciated a lot! We were able to see that Pee-Wee got along with her dogs. She also remembered to give him his flea preventative on time as requested. Thank you, Ana!
Ana is our go to sitter when we go out of town! Our pup always has an amazing time!
Ana took great care of my dog while I was on a trip! I would definitely book with her again!

We have 4 dogs and 5 cats. All of my pets do very well with new company so integrating a new pet visitor into our pack is pretty easy. We live in a house with a medium size fenced backyard so we constantly let the dogs out to play and for bathroom breaks . Because I already have fur babies of my own it’s second nature for me to constantly check on pets and make sure their needs are met. If someone is home, our dogs are allowed to free roam(unless they are destructive). If I am not home, I crate new pet visitors for safety reasons unless they do well free roaming . At night, pets will either sleep with me or if necessary I will crate them.

Some things that are important for me to know: -if your dog has physical impairments -if your dog needs medication -if your dog has behavioral issues -If your dog is potty trained ***I will not take dogs that have separation anxiety or are aggressive in any form. This includes resource guarding, animal aggression, human aggression, or territorial aggression. This is to ensure everyone in our home is safe and comfortable.****
A typical day
I like to take dogs out on long walks and take occasional hikes. I also like to go on nature trails close to me such as at Scioto Audubon. I like to give dogs enrichment toys like kongs and lick mats. Playing outside in the backyard is also a must!

I work full time but luckily my schedule is pretty flexible and I can move it around to accommodate for furry guests. Someone is almost always at home. Boarding is an easy process for us because all of our personal pets are friendly. I always treat animal visitors as if they were my own.
