A community in the city! 🐶🐱

Pet care experience

I built a successful dog-walking business in 2007 called Paws and Dogs. I made sure to be licensed and insured, took pet CPR classes, and went to Pet Sitter conferences. I learned all I could about the business in order to provide the best quality service possible. Once I moved to Spokane I worked at SCRAPS, furthering my knowledge of animal care and dog behaviors. I stayed home with my baby then worked in a canine genetic laboratory. I enjoy animals. I have 2 cats, a dog, 2 children, living in a beautiful intentional community. I have taught my kids to be aware of how to keep themselves and our pets safe. I have also fostered for three different organizations in Spokane.

Not an ideal place for a puppy. Back yard has chickens running loose and chicken poop. Backyard has no grass is all wood chips. We are worried our puppy may get sick from eating chicken poop and expressed our concern before we left. Ana had stated she would put the chickens in their pen rather than have them loose. She said she kept Zoe on a leash but we were told by the youngest Daughter that she almost caught one of the chickens. When we came to pick up our puppy Ana said she had put her in the laundry room for bad behavior. We have never had any Rover sitter that Zoe has stayed with tell us they had any issues. She has stayed overnight several times with a 2 other Sitters who have said she was very sweet. Her children are very sweet and played with Zoe. I would recommend you check the back yard first and do a meet & greet before leaving your pet. Lesson learned we will always do a meet and greet for every single future booking.

Great stay for my boy. Ana was super flexible, easy to work with and communicated well. We did a meet and greet ahead of time so Barkley could meet the chickens. I got a picture most days of Barkley. He seemed to settle in great ?

Information Ana T. would like to know about your pet

Our condo is lively and we invite friends over- young and old, it would be essential for your dog to be well socialized. Being content around people and comfortable with being alone if they need alone time is helpful.

A typical day

Your puppy will get plenty of attention, so if they're into cuddles and praise, we can tickle that spot. We walk three times a day, walks can vary in length and we can take different paths to keep those senses engaged.

I am flexible with scheduling and look forward to hearing your specific needs. We can decide it it's a good fit after we have a meet and great where we can talk more about our expectations from each other. I live in a walk-up on the second floor and walk my dog and our dog-like cat every day; once before 8am, around 2-3pm then at 7pm.
