The first dog I ever met was a stray puppy I came across on the street. I was four years old and loved seeing how giving him a bit of food made him happy, his tail wagging in appreciation. I decided at that point that I would always feed strays and 40 years later, I’m still doing it. Animals are my life and I’m not just saying that! I used to own a shelter for rescued animals in my home country, where I’ve rescued more than 100 dogs and cats from the street and successfully found homes for every single one of them. I also spent time as a horseback riding instructor. These experiences, combined with my lifelong experience of owning pets, has given me a solid foundation in knowing how to care for all types of animals, big and small. I currently have three cats (rescued from the streets) and three dogs. One pup is a rescue from Paw Patrol Rescue Center and Sanctuary, one I rescued from my home country, and the third is an adopted pup I fell in love with and had to have. Animals are blessings in our lives and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I add happiness to the lives of the animals I meet. I first connect with my clients’ pets through walking them. This gives them space to relax and let me get to know them. My main priority is safety. I always double check the leash, collar and harness, and ask that my clients have a tag attached to their pup’s collar. Communications is important to me—I am always available for my clients and send photos and videos in real time to keep them updated on their pup’s activities throughout the day. In short, I care for my clients’ pets in the way that I would want my own dogs cared for. I set the bar very high and I promise to do the same for your pup as well!
