Happily Living the Dog Mom Life

Pet care experience

I am a Social Worker by trade who has a heart for caring for others. I have always had dogs in my home, as I love their companionship, and consider them to be my "fur babies." So, I decided to combine my two passions and open up my home to care for other "fur babies" while their humans take some time away. I am a volunteer/foster for the Arizona Humane Society, as well as for a private rescue group, and I have learned so much about how to react to different doggie behaviors/personality quirks, and have gained a greater appreciation for how resilient they can be. When I am not working or volunteering, I can usually be found at home spending time with my husband and our dogs. We love to play fetch, tug- o -war, and take power naps on the couch. Our dogs enjoy raw carrots and Beggin Strips as treats and have plenty of toys to play with. We have a block wall fenced yard with a separate area designated for our doggie guests. We also will walk your fur babies upon request. Your dog will be offered his/her own small bedroom that has been converted into a doggie hotel suite. We will provide a fun doghouse style bed, music, young living pet-safe aromatherapy, toys, and treats. Also, your fur baby will have the opportunity to engage in supervised interactions with our dogs if requested. I have experience administering oral medication and am pet Cpr/First Aid certified. I also have also cared for fearful and anxious dogs. My husband and I have flexible work schedules and we can come home throughout the day as needed to relieve and play with your fur baby. I will request to see a copy of your dog's current vaccination records and can provide the same for my fur babies as well. Recently, my "soul mate" dog of 12 years, Chopper (pictured above), crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and I have decided to name my business "Chopper's Crossing," in his honor. I truly work to honor him daily by being the best dog mom and animal advocate that I can be. If you chose to bring your dog to my home, please know that he/she will be loved and cared for as if they were my own.

Amy was quick to respond, very professional and took very good care of our fur babies. Sent pictures and kept us updated after each visit. You can really tell she has a love of animals. We will definitely use her again if needed in the future.

I've known Amy for 5+years and she is full of Love for animals of any kind. She volunteers with a local rescue and always has room for one more! She has interacted with my Yorkie, Chloe on several occasions and Chloe just loves her. I would not hesitate to let Amy take car of my Chloe if the need ever arose. When questions arise about animal care Amy is the go to.
