Pet care experience
My name is Amy and I am a Process Engineer at Brady Corporation seeking pet sitting/walking employment for 2024 on weekday evenings/weekends. I recently moved back to Milwaukee after graduating from the University of Minnesota and would love to spend more time with animals! I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing guitar, cooking, reading, and playing games and sports, and am an advocate for sustainability and environmentally-conscious living. I have had dogs during my childhood, but do not currently live with any animals. I have over 4 years of pet sitting experience, including cats, dogs, elderly pets, puppies, and multiple animals at once. I am great with animals of all sorts and am more than happy to administer medicine, take long walks and work on training and other behavioral skills. I am patient and responsible, and I love enabling animals to engage through mental stimulation and exercise. I live in a spacious pet-friendly condo in the Beerline neighborhood. There are many parks and paths nearby to walk to/play outside. I have plenty of space in my home to feed, care for, and play with animals.

I highly recommend Amy for any of your pet sittings needs. She took very good care of my cats while we were away on vacation. I also enjoyed seeing pictures of them! She was great at communicating if she had any questions. It is such a comfort to know when you are way that you have someone taking good care of your animals.

My unit does not contain any objects, plants, fragrances or accessible chemical products that could be hazardous to animals. I have plenty of open areas to dedicate to feeing, crates and/or animal beds. I can take animals on walks to the grassy park near my apartment or around the long sidewalks outside my home. At a client's home, I am available to spent lots of quality time with the animal(s), take them on walks, play with toys and much more.

Please notify me if your animal has any special needs that I should account for. I am comfortable administering oral or injection-style medicine and have done so with animals in the past. I have worked with elderly dogs and a dog with diabetes. I am also comfortable using thunder jackets for animals with noise-based anxiety. I would also like to know if your animal has had any abuse and/or incidents of aggression in the past. Thank you!
A typical day
With my dogs in the past, I love to visit new parks, go on long walks, as well as make special visits to dog parks or interact with other animals if that is of interest. I enjoy participating in games and enrichment with animals as well as just cuddling up with a good book.

Availability
I am available most weekends and weekday evenings outside of my working hours (8am-4:30pm). I am an avid walker, so frequent walks and outdoor playtime/exercise fit well into my daily routine.
