Pet care experience
I am an active sitter who loves to be outside and interact with pets. I am patient, detail oriented, and excellent about sending text updates or leaving notes for owners. I am the person that my friends trust for dog-sitting their anxious, active, or aging mid-size dogs. In this way, I am experienced dog walking/running and pet feeding. I am the sole caretaker for my two senior shelter cats.

Amy did a great job taking care of our 2 cats.
First, Amy was great in accommodating Meg and I on very short notice...same day request. Meg was well taken care of despite her tenancy to be very leery with 'strangers'. Amy communicated all the visit details and was very conscientious. I will definitely ask her to help again and recommend her to others!

I prefer to meet your pets on their turf to keep my cats comfortable and healthy at home. I am happy to explore the neighborhoods and parks near your house and to pick up your pet to walk the paths and parks near my home. There are often other friendly dogs around on leash or playing fetch. I also have access to a small creek where dogs often play to cool down.

I would like to know how the dog gets along with other dogs and with cats. Of course, I'd need to know about food restrictions, medications, and emergency contacts.
A typical day
I love taking walks through my neighborhood near Fitch Mountain and on any of the bike and pedestrian paths nearby, where there are often options to meet other dogs and people. I can jog with dogs and wade in the Russian River with dogs. The dogs in my care get lots of attention and pets.

Availability
I'm currently working part-time and freelance, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pet. Afternoons and evenings are best, but my schedule can be flexible, including weekends. I am looking for long-term set schedules for pet care as well as shorter time frames to cover your vacations, etc. I can also transport and accompany your pet to the groomer or veterinarian.
