Hello! My name is Amy, and I live in North Coastal San Diego County. I am 44 years old and have more than 20 years' experience caring for my own and others' animals. I adore dogs, cats, and wee creatures like guinea pigs. I also have two decades of experience as a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My counseling work is flexible and now online, thus I have ample time to devote to the care and love of animals. I am highly responsible, reliable, compassionate, and organized. I understand how precious animals are and that they are important members of the family. Therefore, I will care for your animals just as I would care for my three dogs. If you are interested, I also am happy to offer complimentary Reiki to your animals, as I am trained as an Advanced Reiki practitioner and have been giving Reiki to animals and people for 6 years. This very gentle approach soothes anxious or sad animals and provides healing energy. I am available for overnight and extended pet-sitting in your home. I will not bring my dogs along, as I wish to focus solely on your pets and their needs when I am with them. It would be a joy and honor to care for your beloved animal(s). Thank you!

We cannot imagine a better human being to care for our treasured animals while we are away. Amy has watched our cats and guinea pigs numerous times. She is always reliable, super loving, and provides great attention to detail. She is a great communicator, so you'll know as much as you like about your sweet creatures while you are away. Because she is very local to us, we've added her as a secondary emergency school contact for our two young children--we think this says it all!
Amy is a very responsible, respectful and loving pet caregiver. She has stayed at our house and cared for our energetic dog and 2 kittens with so much love and care! She took care of everything and left our house perfectly in order and was so wonderful and pleasant to interact with. I would not hesitate to recommend her for any situation caring for pets, houses or kids. She is fantastic!!
Amy is excellent at taking care of my three small dogs. She walks them and feeds them and plays with them. When I am out of town Amy stays at my house to keep them comfortable. She has even come by to say hi and pet the dogs just for fun (unpaid)!

A typical day
I am happy to take your dog on walks in your neighborhood, to local parks, or other places you indicate. If your dog enjoys playing with toys, I would be delighted to engage in these activities with him/her. It is important to me that your dog(s) feel cared for and receive their needed amount of physical and mental activity to feel content.
