Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, as well as several other species of pets. I’m currently raising a sweet lab puppy and I’ve taken classes to help raise him to be the happiest and well-behaved dog he can be. I also have extensive experience training feral cats to trust humans and either become loving pets or excellent mousers. My calm energy enables me to interact with all types of animals in a safe manner, to achieve the best results in their training and behavior.

I just have to start out by saying that it is very clear that Amy is an animal person. She’s watched my dog Nelly several times and it all went very smoothly. Nelly is very sweet and a little sensitive, so Amy was extra gentle and was able to intuit her needs. I’m truly bummed that Amy no longer lives in California because she was a gem for our Nelly. Highly recommend!
Right from the start when I met Amy it was apparent she has a strong love for animals, which was reassuring leaving my dog goku with her. My impression was correct she did a wonderful job taking care of goku, he was happy and playful and seemed to have bonded well with Amy. Extra kudos to her for feeding my bearded dragon as I was getting in later than expected was truly helpful.
Amy was prompt and very sweet to accommodate us; I felt totally comfortable with her looking after my very large 7.5month poodle. All went well and would recommend her to anyone needing a reliable dog walker/sitter.
I hired Amy to watch my two dogs, Joe and Molly for the weekend. She stayed at my house to care for them while I was out of town. I knew she loves animals so I thought she’d be a great fit. I make a lot of homemade food and treats to keep my babies healthy so there were some more detailed instructions I asked her to follow. I received updates and photos throughout my trip and when I got home Molly and Joe were happy and relaxed. She picked up their waste in the yard and kept Molly, my ‘energy ball’, chasing toys outside. I would highly recommend Amy to care for your pet, as she is detail oriented, compassionate and prompt.

I have a large fenced pen in my yard with a country setting and lots of shade. There are plenty of chew toys, balls and sticks, and my friendly, vaccinated lab who loves to play with other dogs.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, or likes/dislikes (he doesn’t like butt scratches, etc.), and how your pup does around other animals, specifically energetic pups.
A typical day
I am an avid hiker and use the AllTrails app to continue discovering new hikes all the time! When hiking with my dog I prefer to take it slow and let him take in all the smells along the way (puppies are so curious!) We also enjoy checking out the lakes and rivers in the area for a quick drink and to get our paws wet.

I’m currently available from noon to 6 pm daily. I do not have a set work schedule so I am there for your dog with uninterrupted attention!
