Caring and attentive dog lover!
Pet care experience
I started taking care of dogs about a three years ago for friends and family. My children love animals however, we don't have any pets of our own. Petsitting brings us a lot of joy, allowing us the opportunity to care for others' pets and to enjoy animals in our home.
Reviews
I completely trusted Amy when she took care of my dog, Chloe. Chloe is a cavachon poodle and will be 2 years old August 2022. We went out of town and Amy and her kids treated Chloe like a queen. Amy loves to walk, so she will walk your dog many times per day. She will cuddle and play too. If we ever need a dog sitter, Amy is my first call to see if she's available.

Safety, trust & environment
Typically when I dog sit, I do my best to spend as much time with the animal as I can and include him/her in any activities that I can (i.e. going to the park with my kids, going on walks, going on picnics, etc.). I don't have a fenced in yard, but I have a large front and back yard and a yard stake so I'm able to give the dog lots of outside time if needed. I also tend to walk 10,000+ steps a day, so I love going on walks with dogs.

Information Amy P. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing for me to know about your dog is what their personality is like and what they prefer while you are gone. For example, are they good with other dogs? Are they shy? Do they get anxious? Do they snip? Things like that. Knowing this helps me to better care for your pet while I'm watching them and helps them to have a better experience with me!
A typical day
I live near several parks and near downtown Glenview so I'll walk with the pets I'm sitting as much as they will like to walk (to the coffee shop, to the playground with my kids, out for exercise, etc.). If the pet is friendly and willing to join me, I'll always take them! Check out my Facebook page called "Petsitting on Palmgren" to get to know me more.
Services
Amy can host
Availability
Currently, my job is flexible and allows me to work from home 2 - 3 days a week and from the office (in Evanston) 2 days a week. My daily work hours are flexible, so being available for pet sitting has worked out well. When I work from home, I'm easily able to walk animals multiple times a day and I typically spend my entire day with the pet.
