My husband and I are dog lovers at heart. However, we travel quite often and can't give a dog the love it wants and also deserves. That is why we woof woof Rover! It gives us the opportunity to love on and play with dogs and still go on our weekend adventures when they arise. Since we are dog lovers without a dog of our own (or kids yet), we are the ideal house for dog sitting our friends dogs whenever they are out of town. Our neighbors have stopped asking if we got a dog whenever we are outside with a different one :). My parents have a cavalier king charles spaniel that always comes with them when they come to visit. They joke that if they aren't bringing their dog Ripley, that we don't want them to come at all. Of course, that's not true. We have volunteered at 2 different animal shelters here in town, both walking the dogs and fostering. We even took a dog to dog introduction class. We love playing outside ourselves, and with our fenced backyard your dog will have a blast running around while we play fetch. As much as we love to play, there's nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with a dog at the end of the day.
