~ Former Zookeeper, Yogi, Founder of Wildlife Refuge, Untamed Hope ~ I'm the Executive Director of Untamed Hope, a newly created wildlife refuge. My life revolves around all creatures, big or small. And I love the company of other canines in my home! Being in the startup phase of my wildlife refuge, I have ample time to nurture and enrich the dogs that I care for. Every animal that comes through my door is treated like family, no exceptions. This includes things like: - Summertime activities like cooling off in our baby pool or enjoying yummy ice treats - Movie time (my Charlie girl loved Marley & Me and Lady and the Tramp) - Lots of hugs and kisses! - And of course spending the night sleeping on a Queen size bed with the 'pack' Rest assured your 4-legged children will be treated like my own and will be happy tired pups at the end of their stay. Ever since I was 5 years old I have been rescuing and caring for all sorts of animals. I have cared for animals in a zoo setting for over 7 years - everything from mice to mountain lions! In my professional experience, I have become skilled in basic animal husbandry, animal behavioral training, and enrichment. These skills allow me to: 1. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment 2. Administer medications 3. Encourage play and exercise 4. Help dogs sustain a relaxed and comfortable state throughout their stay Everything your pup needs so they are happy, healthy, and feel like they are on the best vacation ever! Exercise and health are extremely important in the overall well-being for all of us, animals included! My home is a wonderful environment that: - Encourages dogs to play and explore in the large fenced backyard - Has several options for relaxation in one of the many dog beds throughout the house - Enriching activities offered throughout the day, including a lovely walk in the neighborhood These elements within my home allow me to cater to highly active and energetic dogs (like my Jack Russell) and can also accommodate more relaxed and/or senior dogs as well. During your pet's stay with me, they will also have an option to enjoy some of my homemade dog treats. These treats are made specifically for canines - they are coconut flour based, and have only natural pure ingredients that are safe and beneficial for dogs.
