Hi, I’m Amy. I am a licensed veterinary technician and have been in the veterinary field for 10 years. I have shared my life with fur babies for the past 40+ years. I currently share my home with a 6 yr old Boston terrier-Maestro, a 14 yr old Chihuahua- Toby and 3 cats- Alex (14 yrs old), Tucker (geriatric) and ZuZu (6 yrs old). My cats are used to being around dogs, but do not enjoy being chased so small to medium cat-friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcomed. I am experienced caring for cats and dogs of various sizes, ages and health issues. I live in a cozy 3 bedroom house in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks where my dogs and I take our daily walk. Most days we are joined by the neighbor’s cat. On nice days, I leave my back door open so my dogs can go outside to nap in the sun or explore the back yard. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your fur baby so I will send you daily pictures and/or videos. In order to provide the best care for your dog, I will board 1 dog at time. I work full-time in South Austin M-F from 9-6 with up to 30 minute commute both ways. I am willing to care for your pet in my home as long as you are okay with your pet being confined while I am away and not going out for up to 9 hours. If you live in South Austin, I am available to drop in during the day to walk your dog.
