As a dog owner of two rescues, I have had to learn patience and understanding towards their needs. When they came to us they were both in starvation mode so I had to break old habits before I was able to teach them new habits. My boys are litter mates as well so I had to take extra time learning how different they are from one another even though they share the same background. They were very difficult to walk and I had to take two completely different approaches to teach them how to walk properly. Walks make all the difference in the world for dogs, it calms them down and keeps them from lashing out while inside. Frequent walks can change a dog forever and give them a happy and healthy life!
