Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota so was surrounded by animals daily. I've had pets my whole life. I absolutely love dogs and even dreamed about being an animal behaviorist. I've volunteered with animal shelters for the last 10+ years. When I lived in Nevada, I took photos of the dogs and cats to help with adoption and took the animals to events when needed. In my downtime, I would help train the dogs on certain skills. After moving to Colorado, I volunteered with Colorado Animal Rescue, focusing mostly on the cats. Recently, I attended a clicker training orientation with the shelter and did a one on one session learning how to clicker train with the dogs. I aim to continue that in the future.

Another wonderful weekend for our pets. Always very careful and caring, notices the small things about my pets and reports anything she might find concerning right away. We will continue to utilize Amy’s services when we need a pet sitter.
Our dog is very shy and she was very patient with him! Kept us updated with texts and pictures the whole time. We will use her services every time we need a dog sitter.
Amy is an excellent sitter and kept us very informed. We really appreciated her daily detailed updates. She also reached out if/when she had a question as she strove to provide to best care to my senior small dog. In addition, Amy is a very nice person, and very organized and kind.
Amy loves any and all pets! She is fantastic with my dog and takes care of him like he is hers. I love that she sends me pics of my pup throughout the stay. She is a trustworthy, honest individual who really loves animals.

Dietary needs and if the animal takes any medication. It's helpful to know what a normal routine looks like and if clients are comfortable with the pet leaving the house for walks and a little exploration. I would need to know about any triggers that might cause the pet to be aggressive and if it has ever been an issue in the past with new people. Everything you think is important, I will find important too!
A typical day
It's all dependent on what the animal loves to do and usually has as a part of its routine! Walking the paths along rivers is a major passion for me.

Availability
I work remotely for a nonprofit, Forever Our Rivers Foundation. My normal hours are 8am-5pm, however my schedule can be flexible so I can drop in and check on all the four-legged family members as often as needed.
