Furbaby home away from home
Pet care experience
I am a lifetime pet owner with experience in all kinds of breeds and behavior issues. I am comfortable with teenie puppers and huge doggos, and all the lovebugs in between. Cats, fish, birds, and reptiles are ok too! I do request a meet/greet beforehand for non-fur babies, so I am clear on their care instructions and special needs. For most cats and dogs, I am happy to accommodate short notice requests without prior introductions as needed. I am comfortable giving oral and injectable meds, and following specialized care instructions to keep your pet safe and healthy. I look forward to meeting you and your pet family.
Reviews
Amy was really good with my cats!
Amy was amazing with my guinea piggies. They were happy to take carrots from her hand. She cleaned their cage, refilled their waters, and sent me photos of everything. I was so happy to see them whilst away from home. I will definitely be keeping her in mind for future trips.
Thank you Amy 😘
Amy provided exquisite care for my senior Doberman while I was dining with out of town guests. Stellar!

Update November 2023: Due to my senior girl Maizie's heart condition, boarding availability will be extremely limited and selective for the remainder of her retirement. I will do my best to help with new/returning doggos, but as appropriate for your dog's energy level and needs, I may try to work out a more hybrid approach between boarding at my home and sitting at yours. Feel free to message me and we'll try to make something work that keeps all of our furbabies safe. My vaccinated home is single-level and casual, where your pets are welcome on the furniture, shaggy rug, or bed of their choice. Crates are welcome and available here for your pets that prefer them, but otherwise not used unless requested. For boarders, I have a fenced (6 foot) secure patio area, single story home (senior dogs rule), and a comfy couch your baby is welcome to. Walks are always on a leash.
Information Amy J. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know your dog's favorite activities, energy level, allergies, feeding schedule, sleeping habits, injuries or special needs, and how they interact with other animals and the world outside. Are they afraid of anything? Do they get nervous on a leash? All the quirks!
A typical day
A typical stay in my home will be designed around what your pet needs! Do thet need to be low key and snuggles? Go for a long walk and burn off some nervous energy? Play? Need a good brushing? You got it. In your home, I follow your lead. Walks, brushing, play, treats, snuggles, whatever they need. If they prefer hands-off companionship, I have been known to get the dishes done while just chatting away so they know they're not alone. ?

Availability
Because I work full time (two days a week from my home or yours, the rest in the office), my morning drop in hours are limited. I am available for morning visits on weekends or with plenty of notice so I can get everything done before work hours begin.
