Animals are a good form of therapy

Pet care experience

I watch my sister’s & friends’ dogs on occasion & I really love being around animals. I prefer watching & walking low maintenance, fun loving dogs that are house trained. They cheer me up a lot & help with my mental health. If interested, let’s set up a meeting to see if you & your dog are a good fit.

Javi is not accustomed to staying over with other people. Amy was very patient and kind. We would definitely recommend her and look forward to using her again.

We decided to go away last minute for the winter break and our regular dog sitter was already booked. We ended up finding Amy through a referral. She was very good with Charlie. She sent me several photos throughout the day and even one with him scratching his bed which is a good indication he was in a happy place and felt safe. Amy updated me about his feedings since he usually doesn't like to eat his food right away when he's with a new sitter. He even got extra love and attention from Amy's parents which I'm sure he thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely felt like Charlie was well cared for and constantly given attention. Overall, I would definitely reach out to Amy if you need a dog sitter!

Amy watches biscuit my puppy for me anytime I may need it. She is patient and calming something my pup needs when someone first watches him. She plays with him and takes him on walks. She will do and check on specifics things that your dog needs to be well taking care of.

Amy has walked my dog a few times now, and my pup always comes back happy and tired! Good communication and seems to really enjoy walking my dog. Thanks, Amy!!

Information Amy J. would like to know about your pet

I like small to medium sized dogs that are laid back & chill. When walking, they don’t pull & when they’re at my house, they don’t get into stuff that’s left out in the various rooms & hallways. If your dog has special needs/attention or quirks please let me know ahead of time so I can accommodate them. I try to mimic their schedule as much as possible. What is their temperament? What is their daily routine? Are there any behavior issues I need to be aware of?

A typical day

Dogs typically will stay near me while I get work done & we’ll walk around the neighborhood or a nearby park for breaks. After work, we’ll play tug of war or fetch for a little bit after dinner & before bed. I also have a private back room where they can sleep at night so they don't wander around the house.
