Are you looking for a fun, safe, worry-free place to leave your pup while you're gone? Look no further! I've loved dogs my whole life. Pet sitting allows me to welcome all sorts of dogs into my home without having to adopt every breed I fall in love with! As a dog mom myself, I know how important it is to find just the right person and environment for my own peace of mind. I've been the loving owner of a Cocker Spaniel, a Golden Retriever, a Lab mix, a Jack Russell, a JRT/Dachshund mix, and a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. In college I started my own little dog sitting business and cared for all types of breeds from a Yorkie to a Great Dane. I've often thought about fostering, but the problem is... I'd never be able to let any of them go! My own two pups (Leo & George) live a completely amazing life of luxury, love, and shenanigans. And we're happy to host new doggy friends in need of a fun time while their parents are away. While I respect every dog's personal diet/food restrictions, if you'll allow it, your dog will also enjoy my homemade squirrel-shaped dog cookies (made from organic oats, peanut butter, apple sauce, and olive/coconut oils) during their stay - no extra charge! I'd like to think that I have a special place in my heart reserved just for loving dogs. I believe that dogs have souls (just like people) and I talk to all dogs as though we speak the same language. I am also completely guilty of taking a million pictures of the cool/cute things dogs do and sharing the awesomeness with others. What are you waiting for? Amy boarded and took care of Toni with care and love along with her two dogs. Toni seems to have had great time. Amy was quite communicative as well. I would board Toni with her again.
Amy is a super star sitter. Jake had had some medical problems in the days before his stay. Amy could not have been nicer about giving medicine, checking his sore spots and generally treating him like he belonged to her. I had frequent updates with pics which assured me that Jake was happy and very well cared for. She was very flexible on pick-up times which was needed as our flight home was delayed. i could not have asked for a better sitter.
Amy was absolutely wonderful with my dog Joey! We took Joey in as a stray and he had only been with us for a couple of months before my husband and I had to unexpectedly leave town to attend a funeral. Amy was very accommodating and was able to watch Joey on short notice. Joey absolutely loved Amy's two dogs, and had a wonderful time playing with them. Amy sent me frequent updates about how Joey was doing because she knew I was worried about having to leave him, especially given that he hadn't been with us for long. I truly felt comfortable with leaving Joey with Amy. She is a very kind and caring individual who treated Joey like one of her own. As a bonus, Amy bakes homemade dog treats, and Joey had the honor of testing out a new recipe! I already booked Joey's next stay with Amy.
We did an overnight stay for our puppy, Lucy, in preparation for a week long stay later this summer. We wanted to do a trial run before we left for vacation. We figured that it if our puppy did well, then it's one less thing to worry about. And, we were right. I have a great deal of trust in Amy's ability to care for Lucy. She has been great from the initial meet and great all the way through the overnight stay. She was very open, caring, and willing to make any adjustments needed to make Lucy's stay successful. We didn't need to make any specific adjustments, Lucy adapted very well. I can see that Amy understands dogs, and clearly loves them. Her pups are adorable and sweet, and I know Lucy will have the time of her life during her next stay. And, its one less thing that I need to worry about.

A typical day
Your pup and I will have a blast together! I love taking my dogs to the beach, to the dog park, or just hanging out playing with tennis balls in my own backyard. I'm a sucker for handing out doggy treats (as long as the owner is okay with that) as a way of reinforcing good behaviors. If we get tired from an exciting day of play, then we can all lounge around the living room watching TV or napping. I live in the quaint, quiet neighborhood of Menlo Park. I live in a four-plex with a private, securely fenced yard that combines grass, dirt, bark, lots of plants and a couple of lemon trees, with a decent patch of concrete. Just over the fence are some giant eucalyptus trees that provide excellent shade and house a ton of birds and squirrels. There is also a great dog park just steps from my house, and the entire neighborhood is dog-friendly. I think your pup will especially love the number of softballs and tennis balls that end up on my side of the fence!
