Pet care experience
I have always grown up with a family dog. Originally a calm Labrador and now an overly-excited high energy Weimaraner (not at my home in Bristol). I can care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as I am very used to anxious & defensive behaviours, as well as lots of zoomies. I also understand quite a bit about the health and training behaviours of many dog breeds as I took on this responsibility with our Weimaraner when she was a puppy. I took her on pack walks with other dogs & frequently looked after my friends Italian Spinones for play dates. I will always treat dogs (and all animals) with a great deal of respect and kindness. I love to cuddle them and make sure they feel wanted. I am very active on my phone so can respond quickly to any requests or questions.

Amy was wonderful with Merlin, very understanding of his needs and mine (1st time dog mom). Am pleased with how calm she was with him, clear from her experiences of dealing with all sorts of dog behaviour. Would 10/10 request for her services again. :)
This was my first time leaving my dog with somebody else , me and my dog were quite nervous about it. Amy was very friendly, directed me with things and always was happy to answer my questions or worries. Amy allowed me to meet her with my dog in her house which was great. My dog was able to familiarise with the new environment. Amy always kept daily updates about my dog and how is she doing. Also , send me pictures of her to reinsure me which was great. My dog was looked after with care and safety and comfort which I am really happy about .I can tell that my dog was in safe hands Amy is a great dog sitter and I would recommend it to anyone.
Great dog sitter, really good communication and Romi seemed really happy and chilled at the end of the day. Will be using Amy again :)

I will adjust and cater to the preference of the owner; I personally like to have pups up on sofa’s with me, but know how to keep them off too. I will always provide a welcoming and comforting approach once I’ve entered their space or brought them into a new one, and make sure I’m sticking to as close to what they’re used to as possible. Happy to find exciting new places for them to walk, and will always double check the duration appropriate for exercise.

I will want to cater the caring experience to the owner and dog’s preferences to the best of my ability. If the dog has any anxious attachment, nervous aggression, incontinence issues or diet preferences I will want to know and make sure the dog is as safe and comfortable as possible.
A typical day
As much play as possible, to wear them out for down time with belly rubs / sofa cuddles (if they’re allowed.) I love seeing what tricks dogs can show me, what toys they like to play with & where they enjoy exploring on walks.

Availability
Most days in the week I will have either the morning or afternoon free from University, and I’m also free weekends and evenings. I have a flexible schedule currently as my course is self-directed.
