Our family has had both dogs & cats, including a blind & deaf dog. We love to go for walks and cuddle, and we’re happy to bathe them when needed. We recently lost our blind cockapoo, so we love having other dogs in the house to cuddle and play with.

Although we live in an apartment, there is a fenced-in dog-friendly yard and lots of places to walk, including a dog park. My teenage son loves animals too and helps out.

Please let me know if your dog is a barker so I can communicate in advance with my neighbors. I can accommodate many different special needs.
A typical day
We start every morning with a walk around the block and an additional trip outside after breakfast. I walk every dog I watch to the dog park a block away from my apartment and San Mateo’s Central Park, as well as the residential blocks in our neighborhood. We love to play with the dogs, cuddle, and sleep with them if they are interested in that.

Availability
I am a school librarian and work full time only five blocks from our apartment, so when we are sitting dogs, I can pop home once or twice a day thanks to the flexibility of my schedule. We are home starting at 3:30 and do longer walks and socializing with the dogs at that time.
