Our family includes romance-writing work-at-home mom, sales rep work-at-home-and-travel dad, three kids ages 18, 16 and 11, all of whom are borderline desperate to watch your dog (really, their enthusiasm is getting out of hand), and pets Zeke the Mountain Cur (our newest addition), Louie the indoor/outdoor cat (who runs the house), and a tank full of fish (who don't really care if we watch your dog or not). We've watched dogs on Rover since 2016. Our yard is big and fully fenced, our neighborhood is made for dog walking, and we're really looking forward to meeting some furry friends! * Please note, pickups five or more hours after the time the dog was initially dropped off will be charged an additional half day. Amy and her whole family are great! I had no doubt Abbie would be fine and well taken care of at her place as soon as I got there! I strongly recommend her as I will definitely contact her again next time I need a dog sitter!
Forrest and Leo were safe and well cared for at Amy’s. They were soo excited to go back!! That was most important to me. I also appreciated the great communication and flexibility with drop off and pick up.
Amy took great care of our dogs, giving us updates and pictures while we were away. We could definitely choose Amy and her family to watch our dogs again!

Please note, our dog Zeke is getting older and no longer enjoys very active playmates, like puppies and high energy dogs. We're a great place for chill, laid-back cuddlers and aloof older dogs. Please let me know if your dog has issues with food aggression, particular fears, or training issues so we can be prepared and help them be happy in our home.
A typical day
We give dogs lots of cuddles and walks for those who want them. Our house is very laid-back but all of us love the canine visitors!

Availability
Most days, I work from home, so I only go out for errands or the occasional appointment. I teach two classes at a local college, so during the semester I'm out for several hours two days a week. My husband travels for work, but works from home when he's not on the road. There's usually someone here, but not always.
