Dog Park & Hiking Extraordinaire

Pet care experience

I provide dog sitting in our home. I'm an experienced former vet tech with great references and 10+ years of experience (only 6 paid). I love pets of all shapes and sizes & strive to make sure they are comfortable while you're away. Please be aware that we do have 3 dog kids of our own for your pups to play with while staying with us. Otto is a 7 year old shepherd mix, neutered, and a very friendly pal who will help make sure your furry friend gets to wrestle and play all day. Luna is a 3 year old mini schnauzer mix, spayed, and a cute little fur ball who loves to chase and run with other dogs. Ace is a 2 year old shepherd puppy who can't imagine life without food and friends to play with. I have experience with bathing and administering medication as well. I've cared for many diabetic dogs so I do have experience administering medication via needles. Outside of vet tech experience, I'm also a trained EMT and can ensure your pet is safe no matter what happens while you're away! I can also aid with any training to help teach your pup the basics as well as behavior corrections (excessive barking, food aggression, et cetera).

Our pup came home tired and happy from a great stay at Amy's. Her own dogs made great playmates for ours. She took great care of our pup & we will definitely book again!

Amy was a great to work with. We will absolutely reach out when we need a sitter in the future! She took great care of our pup and was extremely flexible on times and even extending the boarding an extra day. Her own pups were great playmates for ours, too!

Amy was a wonderful sitter for our pup Millie. Millie had so much fun playing with Amy's 3 dogs! She has a nice big yard for the dogs to play, was great about sending photos every day and also even gave our dog a bath before we picked her would. Would recommend and book with her again.

Information Amy E. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences. However, I do want to make sure all dogs are in fairly good health prior to sitting. We have stairs in our home and want to make sure your pup is able to go up/down. Smaller dogs we can carry down with us. If needed, I can administer medication and have experience with diabetic shots as well. Only other thing is knowing how active your dog likes to be. That way we can plan for multiple walks, dog park visits, etc.

A typical day

There are a couple parks right around the corner from our place! The parks are large, open spaces for dogs to play. We also go on frequent walks and hikes for additional fun experiences! Indoor activities include lots of fun toys, ropes to play tug of war, squeaky bones and various stuffed animals for chewing.
