My name is Amy and I am a Registered Vet Tech working at a busy emergency & specialty animal hospital here in Marin County for about 9 years now. I have experience working with all sorts of special needs cases from oncology patients to senior animals and pets recovering from surgery. I work in the ER so I have extensive knowledge of emergency medicine including pet CPR & first aid as well as the ability to medicate your pets orally or give injections. I’ve been in the veterinary field for over 10 years now but have had a love of animals my whole life! I love being able to meet all kinds of dogs and cats, even the most challenging ones! I am a pet owner of one adorable 3-legged terrier mix and a feisty calico kitty, mother to a 16 year old and a toddler son. I am looking forward to helping you care for your fur babies!

Amy is a wonderful sitter. I always feel good about the health and safety of my pets and apartment when we leave them in her capable hands. She communicates extremely well. My cat who is very shy and timid loves to come out and get love from her. We also have a bird. Amy said she didn’t have bird experience so we asked if she could just go into his room and talk to him and check on him but that she didn’t have to handle him. She went above and beyond and sent photos of him out of his cage! She will go the extra mile for your pets. Thank you Amy so much for taking care of our babies so we could have a worry free vacation!
This was the 3rd time that Amy pet sat for us. She always sent pictures of both our dog and our cat. Our dog can be very reactive on leash but that never seemed to be a problem for Amy. Highly recommend.
Amy goes above and beyond. She’s trustworthy and we are so grateful for her taking care of our fur baby. Highly recommend Amy!

I treat other peoples pets as if they were my own. I love to be the “stand in” to show your pet love and care when you cannot be there to do the same. I especially love watching pets who need medication or have health concerns as I know that I can provide an array of care and I know different signs to look for in case medical attention is necessary!

No breed preferences as I believe in treating all breeds fairly! The info I would be very interested in knowing is whether or not your pet has a special “command” word for going to the bathroom and whether or not they have any food allergies. I think the most crucial bit of information would be how your pet responds to strangers approaching the house!
A typical day
I love to cuddle, give belly rubs and take dogs out for nice walks— especially when the weather is nice outside! I always feel safest walking dogs in their own neighborhood because it is a familiar place for them and makes them feel more at ease.

I’m currently only working part time at the emergency hospital so that I can be home with my toddler while my husband works. Pet sitting helps me to fulfill my life’s purpose by caring for animals ♥️
