I grew up in a house that looked after friend's and co-worker's pets, as well as the occasional stray, so pet sitting is second nature to me! Previously, I specialized in caring for anxious pets, especially those who do best with a female caretaker, but any personalities are welcomed.

I cannot recommend Amy enough, truly the most worry-free, seamless experience!! I reached out to Amy last minute for drop by visits for my foster cat, Kepa. Amy was so incredibly kind and diligent with Kepa while I was away. I received daily updates and photos and Amy always knew what Kepa was in the mood for (laying on the couch, pets, playtime, etc). It was so reassuring to have such reliable communication while I was away. When I came home, Kepa was so comfortable and happy - I knew she had been in great hands. Thank you sooo much, Amy!!!

Please review my availability and keep in mind that due to the nature of my work, I am unable to work 100% remotely. Please let me know about their feeding and walking routines, temperament, how they get along with other dogs and humans (especially on walks), and anything else you think will enable me to provide the best care possible. The more I know, the better I can care for them! Safety Information & Requests: Please let me know if your dog is leash reactive, as well as any training strategies you’re trying to implement.
A typical day
I enjoy going on walks and exploring the neighborhood - it's great when there is a nearby park to check out. I also enjoy going on runs with high-energy dogs. If you have a pet needing care other than a dog or a cat, I'm also happy to help! If booking a housesit, your dog will receive at least one 30 min walk, two shorter walks, and an overnight stay. Your pets will need to be okay on their own for at least 6 hrs at a time - feel free to discuss more at the time of booking. Any additional information about your pet and their behaviors is welcome, I'm happy to meet up and talk about what I can do to take the best care of your pet prior to a walk, drop-in, or stay.

I'm patient (I managed to leash train a cat), easy-going, and reliable. I'd love to get to know your pet! House-sitting: I prefer to take care of pets within 15 minutes of Washington Square Park. Drop-ins and walks: I prefer to take care of pets within StuyTown or a 15 min walk from 1st and 20th. If farther, please message before booking.
