Fun at the lake!
Pet care experience
We recently boarded our dog using Rover and had a great experience. We figured we could do the same for another pup and its family. I grew up with animals (goldens, cats, livestock, etc.) and have subsequently had two wonderful mutts of my own. I'm comfortable giving medication, baths, cuddles, belly rubs, and everything else a pup may need.

Amy was great with my older pup during a weekend away for an out of town wedding celebration. Her pup Russ is a happy, friendly little guy and he was really welcoming to my dog. She was great with communication, from setting up an initial zoom meeting to even accommodating a meet a greet before drop off in the morning. It was nice to be away and not be worried about how my dog was doing.
My very active Border Collie Hannah had an amazing time staying with Amy and her family. They took her swimming every day and played fetch with her every day as well. Highly recommend!
Amy is a VERY dedicated animal lover. Amy will take care of your pet(s) as if they were her own family. Animals respond to her big heart and feel right at home. She's attentive to details and is responsive to animals' needs. Allowing your pet to stay with her family will allow them to have time playing at Folsom Lake, too! If you want someone dedicated, kind, trustworthy, and communicative then Amy is your caregiver!

We back up to Folsom Lake, so our backyard is fenced along the back, but it's open at the stairs. We have a baby gate to close off the stairs, but the dogs are never in the yard without us. We also have a large deck that our dog enjoys using to bask in the sun. There are two large Costco circular dog beds and an extra large crate available for your dogs needs.

A typical day
We live next to the lake so a typical walk is along the bike path and then down to the beach for some splashing and fetch.

I'm a teacher and am home for the summer. My four year old and I will be home with the pups. On a typical summer day, morning potty time is between 6:30 and 7:30, then we'll eat and go down to the lake for some morning swimming/stick fetching around 9. The dogs have downtime and then out to potty again at noon. Into the backyard for shaded play and or the deck for sprinklers. We'll do an evening walk, weather permitting, and then one last trip outside to go potty before bed. My dog is a grazer, so we will follow your pups mealtime schedule.
