With the recent COVID 19 pandemic, I want you to know that your health and safety is important to me. I recently obtained a COVID 19 certification for dog walkers and petsitters from Pet Sitters International. I wear a mask when in your home and throughout the duration of the walk. If I am feeling ill, I will stay home to protect you and your safety and I ask that you please inform me if you are ill to reschedule a booking. I also encourage meet and greets that use social distancing, if in person, I ask that you please wear a mask and maintain distance to be as safe as possible. I am also willing to have Face Time Meet and Greets, and to discuss care information over the phone and through Rover messages. I prefer to walk each dog individually, unless there are multiple dogs from the same household. I do not walk more than 2 dogs at once, and only if they live together. Please let me know which harness your dog uses and any specific walking instructions regarding walking route, times of walks, interacting with other dogs, etc. I am familiar with many different types of harnesses and head collars. Please do NOT ask me to use devices such as electric shock collars, and I prefer to not use choke collars. Treating an animal in a loving and compassionate way is very important to me. Please make me aware of any dog aggression issues, as well as any other important factors when walking your dog. I do have experience administering oral medications to dogs and cats, and I do have experience giving both intramuscular and subcutaneous injections to cars. Please be sure to schedule a time to go over these instructions in detail before booking a stay. I am an experienced and professional dog walker and pet sitter, I love taking care of pets and I care for your pets how I would care for my own pet, with love, and with care. Pet sitting and dog walking is very rewarding to me. I have experience with potty training puppies and some basic obedience commands using positive reinforcement and food motivation. I think of myself as very intuitive with pets and I always try to connect with them and develop a relationship with all pets where they feel loved, cared for and where they enjoy themselves and have a great time during their time with me. I use positive reinforcement with food rewards and positive praise, I will only use a verbal correction or adjustment to the length of the leash when correcting a behavior. I do NOT use electric shock collars and I prefer to not use prong collars. Caring for animals in a humane way is incredibly important to me. I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, small and large animals. I have experience from puppies to senior dogs. I have experience with dogs and cats that have special needs and chronic medical conditions. I love walking dogs, sitting cats, and of course, I have a very special place in my heart for small animals like my Guinea pig and am experienced in caring for my Guinea pig, hamsters, etc. I have experience with aquatic care. I can provide daily exercise for your dog in a dog park or on a long walk, I have experience with special need pets, ranging from those who are overly shy and timid, to those who are overly friendly. I have experience working for a veterinarian, and in pet shops. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for all animals, I'm the lady who comes up to you on the street to tell you how cute I think your dog is. I have experience walking and caring for dogs, I'm reliable, responsible, trustworthy and I love cuddling dogs and taking them for walks. I also enjoy taking care of cats, playing with them, cuddling with them, etc. I prefer to walk your dogs in local parks if your dog is dog-friendly or stick to quieter neighborhood streets if your dog isn't dog-friendly, please provide me with ideas of your walking route.
