Pet care experience
I've always identified myself as "one of the biggest animal lovers EVER!" and it is true to the core of my being. I have a special place in my heart for cats but love ALL pets and wildlife from the heart and am overjoyed to care for your family members :) They are in every way our own family! I would be beyond happy to board your kitty's and am thrilled to love on your smaller kennel or non-kennel trained pups for boarding anytime!!! For drop-ins, I will lovingly snuggle and care for any type and size of furry and non-furry pets! I have many years of experience with all sizes, breeds, ages, and health conditions of animals and treat each one as the individual they are. I truly love spoiling them and go above the call with every stay in your pets new vacation home to ensure they feel happy and comfortable. I grew up in a small town in Southwest, IA and have lived the remainder of my life here in Nebraska-a real half farm/half town upbringing always surrounded or working with pets, wildlife, and large animals. My dream is to run an animal sanctuary and offer adoption services while working on a wildlife preserve. I have well-rounded animal experience and currently foster and volunteer for several rescues and have a huge network for all kinds of animal expertise. I also have professional and personal wildlife and small animal experience with raptors, snakes, turtles, and guinea pigs. I'm extending services for small animals like guineas, hamsters, mice, rabbits, and turtles, etc. and have some space for boarding if that's needed. I will truly love your baby(s) like my own and am genuinely grateful to be able to help you and your family while you are out short-term with work or appointments or long-term on trips!! I love cuddling and relaxing or playing with toys, brushing, and don't forget the treats (approved ones of course ;)!!! That's what "Auntie Am" loves to do-a full tummy is a happy tummy.;) I also have a couple of comfy areas that can be a separate room for your kitty(s) or other small animals if needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Honestly, I couldn't have a higher opinion. Amity was responsive and approachable from the jump! It was clear that she genuinely had a love for animals and had their best interest at heart. I, along with my two pups, met with her and her family for an introduction prior to their stay. This gave them a chance to get a lay of the land, but also gave us a chance to discuss some specific details of their stay. The drop off for their stay went smoothly. Amity, her daughter, and her husband were so kind and loving toward them - they were part of the family instantly. Honestly, my dogs are pretty laid back and restrictions are minimal, but Amity went above and beyond to create fun activities for them - going to the pet store for bones and treats, getting a pup cup from DQ, going to the park, etc. I received pictures and descriptions of different activities, or even just my pups being comfortable in their new vacation home. Leaving your pets with a stranger can be all sorts of stressful. Amity intuitively was aware of my strong attachment to my pups and made the entire experience so very easy and amicable. Book this girl for your pet's home away from home. Amity and family - thank you again for everything!
Oh my gosh, talk about PEACE OF MIND when you leave your doggie! I have a small dog that has lots of quirky habits, and Amity was charmed by every single one of them. She has a great “pet sweet” voice and sent frequent updates and pictures of what they were up to while we were out of town. Just a wonderful family with a pet-safe home to leave your dog, knowing she will get lots of love and attention all the while. Such a better feeling then leaving Squeak at. kennel where she would have to sit in a crate getting a ton of anxiety from other dogs and just a couple times a day where she gets out. Not here! Amity and her daughter took such great care of her. No more anxiety for me about finding a friend to house my dog while I’m out of town (such a big favor to ask). We know where we will go from now on! Thanks, Amity! Life changer!
Amity is a very sensitive, responsive pet-owner. She is as meticulous in the care of her furry children as she is with her own daughter! Years of pet care, especially cats, but also with dogs and guinea pigs are in her experienced pet portfolio. She would be a thoughtful, playful, respectful agent for Rover.

Favorites in our home are playing with toys, catnip/bone parties, lounging in the 2 huge bow window seats for nature watching, snuggling and pet sessions, getting brushed, and of course treats!!! We enjoy special outings to the parks, Dairy Queen, and the pet or hardware stores too ;among other things:)
