Pet care experience
I’m currently a full-time nursing student that works part-time as a vet assistant in an animal hospital, and I’ve been working in the vet med field for a little over two years now! I’ve learned some really amazing things like taking and reading x-rays, running anesthesia in animal surgery, using an ultrasound machine, intubation with ET tubes for surgery, giving propofol for sedation via IV, monitoring vitals on an EKG machine/spO2 monitor/doppler, giving subcutaneous fluids and injections, running lab tests like urinalysis’s/bloodwork, and even more. Prior to this, I was working with other animals in boarding facilities and shelters. I have gained lots of experience regarding immune disorders, chronic diseases, and behavioral abnormalities while working at an animal hospital so I’m equipped to handle all types of different situations and all different types of pets.

A typical day
My favorite thing to do in my free time is go on walks and they are even more fun when I have a buddy so I’d love to take your fur baby(s) with me! I also LOVE playing fetch with dogs, and I’m pretty sure I like that more than them as well. After we’re worn out I like to lay down, relax, and CUDDLE!!!

Availability
I’m attending NKU for my BSN, and I am going in-person on-campus for only one class this semester. I also work part time (4-hour shifts this semester) three days a week at the animal hospital. I’m at work and school from 8am-2pm on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s. I like to keep a busy schedule, and this semester I have a lot of free time so I’m available most of the time to play with your fur baby and cuddle! I think I might actually enjoy cuddling your fur babies more than them I hope they don’t get annoyed 🤍
