🐾🐕Personalized Pet Care🐱🐾

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Ami. Growing up, my family always had multiple animals in our home - dogs, cats, and fish. My parents breed West Highland White Terriers so I have assisted in raising multiple litters of puppies (whelping, bottle feeding, socializing, training, etc.) until they are old enough to go to their forever home. As an adult, I've always had at least one dog of my own, all of them rescues. I have also had the pleasure of fostering numerous dogs and cats. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, seniors, and those with special needs (including blind, deaf, diabetic, seizures, and separation anxiety). I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I became a full-time pet sitter because I am passionate about animals and love spending time with them! I have pet sit for relatives, friends, and neighbors. Both my husband and I work from home and we always make sure that at least one of us is home while your dog is visiting. They will never be left alone while staying here. I'm a firm believer that pets are family and should be treated as such. Your fur baby will be very spoiled and we will love them like they are our own. We currently have one small senior dog named Kiki. She is a 14 year old Chihuahua who we rescued in 2022. She gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, and kids. Feel free to read more about her by clicking on her picture. New to Rover? Use my promo code to get $20 off your first booking: AMIW06725

If you only want the best for your pet, Ami is it. Everything from start to finish with her has been nothing short of outstanding. She is reliable, compassionate, and her energy is so calming. My dog Luna had just been diagnosed with kidney disease, and I was overwhelmed. Ami came over to administer subQ fluids, which have been a struggle for me to do on my own because it was so stressful for my dog. Ami taught me things the vet never mentioned, so that the experience was less stressful for Luna, such as warming the bag of fluids, the position to hold my dog in and how to distract her with treats. She even recommended needles that are thinner, and I was amazed my dog didn’t even react when she poked her! She is also working with me on a specialty diet specifically for CKD which is already helping with her nausea and appetite. I am so relieved to have found Ami - she is an invaluable resource, and true animal whisperer. And our kitties approve too, they absolutely love her! Thanks again Ami!!!

10 Stars!!! ⭐️ My experience with Ami was absolutely incredible. Super easy drop off/pick up. She provided a clean and comfortable environment. Communication was prompt and I got lots of photo/video updates. My dog loved playing with the other dogs and running in their big backyard. Kiddie pool is a real treat! We could tell Luna had the best time during her stay, she came home happy and tired. Highly recommend Ami and will continue to use her services!

Ami is amazing. So gentle and kind with my animals, she walks my dog for the full 30 minutes then makes sure he has fresh water and is dried off if it rains. He loves her!

Information Ami W. would like to know about your pet

1) Any special dietary needs, medications, or allergies? 2) What is your dog's daily routine (feeding instructions, potty break frequency, exercise length, sleeping arrangements)? 3) Are they potty trained or crate trained? 4) Do they get along with other dogs? 5) Is your pup afraid of anything (thunderstorms, fireworks, vacuums, stairs, leash, etc.)?

A typical day

There are plenty of sidewalks in my neighborhood to take your dog for long walks or short leisurely strolls (depending on their exercise needs). My husband also works from home so there is always someone here. He will often join us for a walk or throw the ball for your dog in our fenced backyard when the weather is nice. There is also a new dog park near our house (only a 3 minute drive) that I would be happy to take your pooch to, with your permission, of course. They will have access to water 24/7. Your pup will get plenty of exercise, supervised play time, potty breaks, and treats. I also offer lots of cuddles! If there is anything else I can do to make your pup’s stay more enjoyable, please let me know. I welcome any size and breed of dog as long as they get along well with my dog. Your pup must be house-broken and/or crate trained. I recommend meet and greets, when possible, so that you can get to know me and see where your dog will be staying.

I am a full-time pet sitter. I offer drop in visits, dog walking, boarding, and doggy day care. We want your dogs to feel comfortable while staying here. Some dogs prefer to use their own things but we have plenty of extra beds, bowls, treats, and toys to play with. They are allowed on our furniture (unless you give instructions otherwise). For an extra charge, I can give your dog a bath while staying here so they return home clean and smelling good. FYI... I do not trim nails or give hair cuts. I would be more than happy to provide transportation to pick up or drop off your pet too. I have a seat belt your dog can wear in the car or I can transport them in a kennel if that is your preference. I respect rules and routines that other people have for their dogs/cats and will follow that. I know how comforting it is to have people who care for your pets the way you would. Our four legged loved ones bring so much joy to our lives and you want someone who will provide them with the kind of care that you would give to them.
