Pet care experience
I have had dogs my entire life - I've had a border collie, a shih tzu maltese mix, and an adult corgi. My corgi I had for 8 years adopting him at 9, so I do have experience with senior dogs . All of these dogs have been rescued. These have been my personal pets/family pets so I didn't solely take care of them. I have walked neighbors and family friends dogs, also have done check ins for multiple years (since I was 16 years old by myself). I have also taken dogs to dog parks with these check ins.

Amelie is wonderful with pets from cats to dogs and even to rats. she has always had animals in her life and cared for them in a responsible fashion. Currently, she has two cats and a Welsh Corgi, all of whom are rescues. She has great empathy and sound judgement and I have left my pets with her without any hesitation. Also, she is fit, and is able to keep up with dogs while exercising them if that is an issue.

I personally have a dog park at my apartment complex and live very close to multiple parks. This ensures that the dog will not only be able to get ample exercise but also, will always be close to access of water, and be able to relax whenever.

Age, breed, activity level, comfortably around other dogs and people, how much they shed, how often they need to be taken out and/or fed. No preference, I love all dogs.
A typical day
Like mentioned above, I do have a free dog park at my apartment complex for smaller/ low exercise need dogs. But, I love taking dogs on long walks, especially by the Lakefront since there are lots of places to go to the bathroom and it is pretty. There also are many nature areas and dog friendly areas close to me, so I can socialize the dog if desired.

I currently work from home, M-F 9-5, which gives me lots of free time on the weekend. And lots of availability before and after work.
