Amelia is a bright, engaging, and personable person, one with who we felt comfortable leaving our three bichons for one week while on vacation. We met with her twice before our trip to confirm the details and ensure the dogs were comfortable and everything was ready. During our time away and mostly when we returned, we were either told by neighbors or discovered that the instructions for care and house rules (there were very few) were not followed. In several instances where Amelia did not follow our direction, we have spent an enormous amount of time cleaning and a large amount of money for a replacement. In summary, I believe Amelia's heart is in the right place, wanting to care for pets. But adding in other responsibilities that come with housesitting seems too much. I see this as a serious job and do not want to hire someone that does not view it the same way.
