Amelia grew up in a family that always had pets of all kinds. Dogs, cats, birds, and all kinds of rodents, reptiles, and fish. Amelia took it upon herself to teach the family dog, a sheltie named Prince, as many tricks as she could. She loved taking him for walks. Most of the animal care was Amelia's responsibility simply because she loved doing it. When Amelia's sister turned 6 years old, her mom rented ponies for pony rides in the back yard. Her mom's favorite thing to tell people now is "We put her on a horse at 16 months old and haven't gotten her off since!" Amelia started taking consistent riding lessons when she was five years old and always wanted to spend as much time in the barns as possible. When she got a little older, Amelia started working in barns in exchange for riding time. As soon as she was old enough that turned into a paying job and she has worked on horse farms ever since. Amelia took this love of horses to college attending William Woods University for Equine Science. Currently, Amelia has two dogs of her own, both Dobermans named Torque and Rae. She has worked in the past as a veterinary technician at a small and large animal hospital. She has also worked as horse trainer on a private eventing farm and has managed several large horse boarding facilities where she learned an amplitude of hands on horse care. The unsolicited requests to house, pet, and farm sitting from several neighbors around the area inspired Amelia to offer other's the opportunity to allow their pets to have the same level of care and comfort when their owners are away from home as when then are present.
