Pet care experience
I have extensive experience in animal care, both large and small. I also have worked professionally on ranches and can provide peace of mind if you need livestock care while you are away. There are horses on my property so please no livestock chasers. I have a friendly mixed breed dog, who's exercise is of ultimate importance to me, so I understand your need to have your own dog get out adequately throughout the day. I would be thrilled to go in hikes, runs or simple strolls around the block depending on your pet's individual needs, and your desires. Amelia was amazing! She was very professional and treated my baby like her own. She was very quick to respond to all my messages and worked with me on a super last minute booking and crazy schedule. She sent pictures and took Stella out on hikes and went above and beyond to make sure she was well taken care of. Amelia was great with our doggy in rehab - Danny Boy is recovering from knee surgery and is under strict instructions not to run, jump up, chase bunnies or in anyway stress his knee (no small feat in such an energized, happy overgrown pup!) She arrived promptly and kept him quiet all day while we were gone, we are so grateful! Would definitely trust her to come back again if/when the need arises.
Amelia was great with Luna! Knowing that she was taking care of Luna took so much of a weight off of my shoulders! Would recommend her to anyone. :)

I have a fenced yard, fenced shaded tennis court and a large property for dogs to play on. I also love to go on hikes on my property with dogs that are physically able. When doing overnight stays in clients homes I am able to leave my own dog behind with my mother and adhere fully to the rules of the house.

I am very aware that many dogs act differently when their primary caretakers are not around. Please let me know any specific behaviors that could affect our time together.
A typical day
This is entirely based on the dog's age, breed and training level. I have access to private land where we can run and play off leash for dogs who I have gotten to know and trust in that situation. I also am more than happy to stay home and play fetch in my fully fenced yard for those who are energetic, but not yet 100% trustworthy off leash. I do enjoy running, and am happy to take dogs for runs on leash. For older/less athletic breeds I have plenty of nice places to lounge in the sun when it's shining, or else comfy indoors carpets for naps.
