Pet care experience
Hello! I work from home full time in the Biotech field. When I first moved to the city in 2018, we hosted a friends pup for a week and quickly realized how much we loved having a dog in the house. My husband and I are exploring dog breeds to get/adopt in the future. Right now we’re leaning towards Shih Tzu, Maltese, Goldendoodle or Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We’re having so much fun hosting pups through Rover until we’re ready to commit to getting a dog or our own. We’re interested in hosting small to medium dogs (preferably fluffy!). I’m a runner and would gladly take your dog on runs with me if they are up for it. We are only accepting potty trained dogs for hosting. Please reach out to me with any questions. Amela and her husband did an amazing job boarding our dog. They took such good care of Luna and included her in their weekend outings. Amela was very good about sending updates with pictures and it was clear Luna was very comfortable with them.
Amela and David took amazing care of our Pomeranian -- we already booked another stay!! This was our first time using Rover and it could not have been better. When we first met Amela, she asked us if she could cook for our dog because she wanted to spoil him, and we instantly knew we found someone great to love and care for our fluffy little guy! Within half an hour of us leaving our pom with Amela, she sent us a photo update showing our pup looking happy and comfortable on their couch :) Amela sent tons of photos and video updates of our pom every day and let us know if she had questions about things that made our dog anxious like driving and walking on hard wood floors. Our pom was in great condition and super happy when we picked him up -- Amela brushed him out and everything! We could tell that he really trusted Amela and David and felt comfortable in their house. We know our pup is going to be in great hands when he stays with them again soon!
Lupe loves Amela and David! She has hosted our Lupe girl twice now. Both times, my husband and I felt at ease about leaving our dog in Amela and David's care. They go above and beyond to make sure you fur baby is taken care of and having fun. Both are true dog lovers. We were sent lots of pictures throughout the stay. We know Lupe can't wait for her next stay with her two best friends!
Troy loves Amela and her husband David. They took care of Troy really well, took him on many walks too! I’d love for Troy to be with them/stay with them again!!

I love walking everywhere and exploring all the unique neighborhoods. I take the dogs everywhere with me! Shopping, cafe, gym, park, beach, etc. I stick to dog friendly places when I’m watching a pup so they can come with me.
