Caring for pets is so fulfilling!
Pet care experience
I've been cat/dog sitting for a seven years now, and have always treat the pets the way I would want someone to treat my own. Growing up with animals, I'm always excited to meet other peoples pets. I also like bringing a treat or a toy so that the pet knows I'm their friend. I've also worked with difficult cats and dogs, and I can proudly say I've always been able to coax them and build a trusting/loving relation with them. I don't take petsitting as a job, I genuinely enjoy hanging with them, who doesn't like spending an evening with a big dog! or playful cat! I'm patient, compassionate and loving towards all sorts of animals. I'm also available on weekends and most holidays. I currently work part-time, so I'm always flexible and can travel anywhere around the boroughs. Weekends/Weekdays, twice a day visits, it all works for me. I make sure my cat meets the sitter before hand, so I can see if he's comfortable. I live in a one bedroom, so he's pretty safe. I let him out on the fire escape that faces the back of the building, and he's always under supervision.

Peace of mind while out of town is having Ameera taking care of our cat!
Ameera was an excellent cat sitter for Marty! She was very communicative, gave Marty lots of pets and treats and playtime, and made me feel so confident that he was in good hands while I was away. Would definitely work with Ameera again!
Ameera did a great job taking care of my dog, as always. She is very attentive and thoughtful, my dog is always excited to see her!
Ameera was super communicative, and ensured the cats had ample playtime in addition to their food, water, and litter. She kept an eye out when they tried to get in trouble throughout my time away, and cleaned up their shenanigans to ensure their safety. Ameera senf sweet photos that made me calm and releived as i travelled. My babies were very happy and calm upon my arrival home!

I have a cat at home. He loves looking out the window at the birds, squirrels, and gets really excited. I don't like keeping the windows shut, so I have a really strong screen in place and only leave the window open only a few inches, big enough that he can see clearly, but not enough to let his head fit through. With client's pets, I'm sure to ask them what the pets favorite toys are, what does playtime look like for them.what's their personality like, what is the energy level on walks, etc. I don't bring anything from outside, whether it's food, or anything for the pets to get into. I'm comfortable with pet cams, and make sure I have all the information I need, any special care requests you might have.
Information Ameera K. would like to know about your pet
While I'm comfortable with all animals, if you're pet is aggressive, or showing signs on aggression that is making uncomfortable, I might have to leave before the schedule time is up. Small dogs nipping, I don't mind, I've worked with difficult, anxious, not totally social dogs. But snarling, biting, growling, whether a small and especially a bigger dog is a no-go for me Same for cats. Please let me know if you're cat is not into pets, and just likes attention from a distance (like cats can be! totally get it.) The hissing and charging can be pretty scary.
A typical day
I like to know what toys your pets really like. It could be a rope to pull on, or a squeaky toy, I like to let your pet know I'm not of any threat to them, I'm here to play and have fun and take care of them! I like going on walks to the park, any green less-traffic areas, I feel when too much is going on, dogs can get nervous or over-excited, begin to pull on the leash, I like to keep it safe, but still stimulating.

Availability
House Sitting & Overnight Stays I'm not available to stay 24 hours since I have a cat of my own and have a long work schedule, so I have to fit in my time at home as well. While I can only really stay 8-10 hours or so (time includes the overnight stay), I can provide dinner, breakfast, walks, playtime during that time. I'm also happy to come by a few additional times a day if you're more comfortable with that. Let me know what works for you, what you're looking for, and I'm sure we can come up with a schedule that's accommodating for you, you're pet/s, and me!
