Pet care experience
Hi my name is Ambra! I have been using rover for about a year now and I previously worked for a pet sitting company in the past. I took a break during the pandemic and have since been vaccinated, so I am excited to return to Rover as I love animals! understand the importance of having a reliable pet sitter and I work hard to make sure the needs of owners (and their pets) are met. I have cared for a variety of animals including dogs (big, small, old, young) cats, turtles, rabbits, fish and chickens. Care includes feeding, walking, giving meds (oral and injection) and overnight services [at client home as my apartment is small]. During overnight services I usually do light cleaning (i.e laundry, dishes) as needed. I live in the heart of downtown Ithaca, so I am within walking distance of some bookings (which comes in handy for short notice requests), but I do have a car as well for drop-in visits or overnight visits. I live in Ithaca year round so I am almost always available.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Ambra’s help while we were away. She is communicative, thorough and thoughtful. But most importantly, our old anxious dog clearly loved her.
Ambra was great! She was super communicative and our dog loved hanging out with her. She even came by the afternoon we were returning after we told her we’d be back later than expected.
Ambra did an awesome job taking care of our two senior pups, and our home. We couldn’t be happier! She was very attentive to their needs (administering meds, supporting high maintenance feeding needs) and stayed in regular communication with us, sending photos and updates each day. We’d give her 10 stars if we could!
Ambra was fantastic! It’s her second time watching our pup and we have already booked her again. Thank you, Ambra!

No breed preferences. As I have sat many dogs in the past- I am fairly open to sitting any animal- I do ask owners to tell me the age and breed of the dog as well as their feeding habits and how active they are. I want to make sure I can provide the best care I can and like to pay attention to detail.
A typical day
Activities can inlude; Hiking, running, playing fetch in the yard or the park. For senior dogs or dogs with injury I usually opt for shorter/gentler walks with more inside attention. And of course belly rubs.

Availability
I do currently work full time, but am off tuesdays and weekends. My work is located downtown (convenient for drop-in visits) and supervisors are aware that I use Rover and are supportive of me adjusting my schedule as needed.
