Amber was punctual during our initial meeting and the first day of housesitting. Regrettably, our positive first impression and overall experience took a downturn from there. During our initial discussion, I specifically asked whether she would be absent from our home for extended periods of time as we have a senior dog who experiences separation anxiety when left alone for too long. Amber assured me that she primarily works from home, with occasional short office visits, and had minimal other commitments, implying she would be present at our home. However, this turned out to be far from true. Despite assuring us otherwise, our exterior Ring camera revealed that, apart from sleeping at our house, Amber spent a TOTAL of 4 hours during daylight hours at our home over the 4.5 days of our absence. Her extended absences, spanning 12-13 hours each day, led us to cut short our trip to minimize further stress and anxiety for our dog. If you seek someone solely to stay at your home overnight, Amber may suit your needs. However, if you seek a caregiver who will genuinely engage with your pets, we cannot recommend her services.
