About this sitter: Hello My name is Amber Reine. I have over 19 years of experience caring for dogs. I have owned and fostered a wide variety of breeds. From Yorkies, Corgis and Doxies, to Labs, Border Collies, German Shepherds, tiny little Lab pups to 125lb. Mastiffs. My family and I have been involved in animal rescue, with brachialsaphalic breeds for more that 14 of those years. Pugs, Boxers, Boston terriers, French Bulldogs, and English Bulldogs are my specialties. I have taken care of and fostered, puppies, dogs with behavior issues, medical needs, allergies, and basic training needs. I specialize in socialization or shy and timid dogs; as well as, potty/crate training puppies. There is something to be said about dealing with literally, hundreds of dogs over a 19 year period. You learn so much about homeopathic care, medical intervention, temperament testing, and leadership. I have assisted in home checks, foster care, adoptions and training for families all over Orange County and beyond. I know what it takes to integrate dogs into a new environment and help them acclimate and feel safe. It has been my desire to give back to animals in need. Animals have given me so much joy over my lifetime, I would like to give a fraction of that in return. I have recently decided to take all of my knowledge for caring for foster and rescue dogs, and apply it to family pets. I know that when I am away, I want to leave my fur babies in the care of someone competent and loving. If my pets are not able to be with me, I want them to stay with someone who feels like family. I provide in home care, boarding, socialization, playtime and training, as well as day care- both full and half day. I would love to care for your puppies like I do my own family pets. I have a Boxer and a Pug! I know how special family pets are and how much joy they bring. I would want a person who knew and loved my dog to care for and appreciate the unique needs of my dog's breed. If your puppies can't be at home with you, please, allow me to create a space that is their home, away from home. I live a beautiful and dog friendly neighborhood. I have a fenced and secure yard for supervised play and making friends. I have cared for dogs of all ages and temperaments. If a Meet And Greet cannot be scheduled in advance of a booking there will be a $12 fee added per day to the cost of the booking--IF your dog ends up being "special needs." If your dog moves into the pack without an issue the fee will be waived. (Special considerations will be made for out of state Guests) There may be exceptions made to this, BUT it will function on a case by case basis. We don't mind last min bookings, but we got to hop to it, for your dogs to be as comfy as they can; as speedy as we can. And that takes a bit more work ; with a bit less time*** Why I love dog sitting I have had a soft spot for animals for as far back as I can remember. I have volunteered with rescue groups for over 15 years. To name a few Boxer Rescue LA, Road dogs and Rescue, and Sachi Animal Rescue. In addition my family and I have taken in abandoned and stray dogs for years. We have nursed them back to health and found them forever homes. It is rare to find our home without a foster or stray need. We consider it our way of paying it forward to give and care for those animals who cannot care for themselves. Meet my pets 1 female Pug, 10 years old Both of our personal dogs are obedience trained and in training to become therapy and service dogs. Our dogs are well socialized, friendly and playful. They do not exhibit any type of aggression towards other animals. They are also crate trained. About my yard Our back yard is secured by a 6 foot fence. It has a nice grassy play area, complete with shade trees and patio. There is also a kiddie pool we use for really hot days. My experience administering medication Yes - I have fostered medically fragile, hospice and dogs in need of daily physical therapy.
