The best care for your best friend
Pet care experience
Being a dog sitter is more than just a hobby for me, it’s a lifelong vacation! I love being able to provide the love and affection that pups need to thrive in the world. They’re always so selfless and amazing to us, so I just want to do what I can to make them as happy as they can be. Not only that, I also enjoy being able to give back to my community by giving owners peace of mind when they’re away from their best friend. I know how difficult that can be, so I’m here to make that time as easy as possible! I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, but my experience with them doesn’t just stop with being an owner. In my younger years with the Girl Scouts, I volunteered and worked at animal shelters, which taught me so much about providing quality care to pups in need. Of course, there are so many different pups and situations at the shelter, so making sure you’re providing for the specific dog in the way that’s best for them is one of my big takeaways. Since then, I’ve done my best to take care of pups near and far! In fact, when your pup is under my wing, they’ll be in a house full of puppy love! I’ll be the primary caregiver to your pup, but I do live with my mother and younger sister as well, who are always happy to pitch in whenever necessary. They find it so much fun to have new friends at the house, so having a new friend around the house really is a treat. We currently have three dogs—2 male and one female (all spayed/neutered). One of the male dogs is in training to be a service dog while the other is blind and deaf, so we have plenty of experience with special needs dogs. The female is around 5 pounds and very sweet! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all.
Reviews
Amber did an awesome job taking care of Lucky, highly recommended
very terrible experience, would not recommend at all. when we went to pick roux up, the sitter informed us that roux's tags had fallen off and she had no idea where they were. she also misplaced her toys and when we asked where these things were and how she had lost them, she got very defensive and started complaining about how roux was not trained and didn't let her family sleep at night. We've left roux with sitters before and they have never had any problems with her. We have in fact booked a stay with the same sitter multiple times and obviously if roux was as terrible as amber said she was then this previous sitter would not have agreed to keep her for multiple stays.... Amber started yelling at us and then shut the door in our face while we were trying to get answers from her. When i got in the car, i noticed that roux's food was barely touched and none of her medication had been given to her. This medication is very important for roux to stay healthy. During the stay we contacted amber multiple times to ask if roux was eating and if she was being given her medication and amber always said that roux was eating and in fact even said that she was giving roux her medication by hand. Amber's answer to all of our questions was to blame everything on roux's behavior but it's not like she was not aware roux was an energetic and active dog. When i first contacted amber, I made sure to mention that roux was a very energetic and easily excited dog and we even had a meet and greet to make sure she could see roux's energetic behavior herself. i stressed multiple times that roux is very energetic and 'are you sure you will be okay with her?' and amber assured me that she had no issues with this as one of her dogs was also very energetic and she had much experience.
Amber is very sweet and you can tell right from the start, that she really loves animals. Our fur baby connected and liked her as soon as he met her. Amber took really good care of him and communicated with me during his entire stay. I would be glad for her to take care of our boy anytime. Definitely will be calling her again! Thank you Amber!!
Amber was sweet and took good care of Jetta. I would leave Jetta with her again.

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

I love staying active, so your pup will be right at home with me if they like getting lots of exercise! There are plenty of great things to do in my neighborhood, so we’ll never be starved for adventure. My favorite place to head to nearby is Jane Long Farm, which is a great park that features lots of green areas to run around in and meet new friends. If we’re feeling adventurous, we can always go for a walk on the beach and splash around in the waves! My house is also very accommodating to dogs, as they are allowed on the bed, furniture, and wherever else their heart desires.
