Pet care experience
I started caring for pets of my own at 18. I have worked as a vet assistant for over 3 years and soon to start technician school 😃. I am certified in First Aid and have worked with pets of all ages. My husband and I raised my two dogs from puppies and have adopted/fostered many senior pets. We foster through the Southern Indiana Animal Rescue, so we will occasionally have a foster dog here during your pet's stay. One of our dogs is a tripod, so we have also gained special needs experience. We also have experience caring for donkeys, chickens, birds, and fish. Wr pride ourselves in being kind and patient in nature. It is of the utmost importance that pets in our care feels safe and secure, as if they were home.

Amber came on late notice and is our first Rover visit. Pictures that she took went above and beyond and really eased anxiety about our furry babies. Above and beyond on photos of everything and they look like they really enjoyed the company.

Our fur babies are more than just out pets; they are our kiddos. Your babies will be treated as such, too! We have a subscription to Bark Box and a HUGE basket filled to the brim with toys. We keep plenty of blankets and beds around the home. We have a large sectional that we lounge on and a fully fenced in yard. We live in a very dog friendly neighborhood with paved sidewalks. We also have an exercise pen as well as the following sizes of crates on hand: two large, one extra large, and one small. Let us know what arrangements you have in your home so we can best emulate them. We also have baby gates set up to keep pets separate if necessary, and still allows for free roam in a portion of the house.

If your pet is cat aggressive, our home would not be a good match for you. We would like to know about any medical, social, or behavioral needs/challenges as well as some of your current baby's favorite treats, activities, and toys! Any ground rules (no jumping, no furniture, etc.) as well as any dietary needs would also be super helpful. Sleeping and eating schedules are also essential in order for us to provide the best care.
A typical day
The neighborhood has paved sidewalks throughout. We have a fenced in back yard for your fur baby to run around and play. Fur babies are also allowed on furniture (if you allow it) and we have dog beds throughout my home.

Availability
I normally work at a vet clinic in Jeffersonville, IN and my husband is a lineman in Louisville, KY. Your pet could be left alone for approximately 4 to 6 hours, so please keep this in mind during the work week.
