Pet care experience
Pet care is self care!! I’ve had pets since as long as I can remember and have gravitated towards animals (and they to me) my whole life. I am a registered nurse with 11 years of experience caring for critically ill people; and am taking a step away from full time patient care to care for my favorite people, ANIMALS! Caring for animals (and plants) really is my self care; it brings me so much joy to connect with and care for animals of all kinds. I have cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs and plants (which is also an area expertise of mine). I have experience caring for and loving animals of all ages and can give oral medications, am comfortable giving medications via other routes if we discuss this process first. I’m not sure why I didn’t start a career with animals much sooner than now because I enjoy animals more so than I do people (I think this also stems from being at the bedside with people, especially during the pandemic). I will love and respect your pet as I would my own. I will respect your home and ensure the safety of your family by wearing a mask and washing my hands frequently. Amber was amazing with our dogs and watching over our house while we were on vacation. It was a peace of mind to know the dogs were being taken care of.

Amber is so incredibly sweet with our pets. She goes above and beyond as a sitter/walker. It is very easy to get ahold of her and she was luckily available for us on short notice (although I don’t know if that’s always the case!). We highly recommend her services!
Amber watched our 4 dogs during Christmas and that many dogs can be a lot to handle. Kiwi is very shy but warmed up to Amber very quickly. She had no issues with feeding or letting our dogs out. I look forward to having Amber watch our dogs again in the future.

I will not be offering pet care services at my house because I have a dog that loves people but doesn’t enjoy being around other dogs I would be happy to care for your pets in your home as needed. If there are pets other than cats or dogs there will be a separate charge that I will request via Venmo since there is no way to charge for this on Rover. The cost of this will depend on the number of animals and the maintenance/care they will require, please reach out with questions. In addition, if there are requests for other house duties, I.e. shoveling, laundry I will add-on a surcharge per request via Venmo.

I like to know any specific care advice, how much they eat and how often; any idiosyncrasies that might trigger your pet to be defensive; how they are on a leash; how they might act if we come across another animal while on a walk.
A typical day
I love taking long walks and playing in the backyard. If dog parents are ok with it, would love to take your dog on a hike. My favorite thing ever is cuddling with animals and feeling the closeness and trust that comes with a good snuggle.
