Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Amber! I am an animal lover by nature, both dogs and cats alike. My own beloved baby (dog) passed away in 2017 at the age of 12, and I miss her dearly. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life, and I have been the token pet sitter for all my friends and family for years. I have done overnights and just stopping in for some walks, attention, and company. I work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and am available any time outside those hours, so if you work nights or weekend, I can help! I'm also available if you just wanna get out of town for a weekend trip. I live in a pet friendly apartment that is next to a large park so I would be willing to consider a possible 1-night overnight in my home, but ideally, I think it's best for the pet to keep them in their own familiar environment for anything longer than that. I just want to offer my walks and cuddles to any pet or pet owners that may need it!

If I could give Amber more than 5 stars, I would. She was communicative, flexible, helpful, and sent me lots of pictures of my cat while I was away! Next time I need to leave my kitty at home while I travel, Amber is the first sitter I'll be checking with.
Amber was such a great sitter. Kind and caring about the animals and owners.. Very flexible and understanding. Easy to work with. Amber was awesome with our 14 yr old senior lab. Our dog was having some issues with us being gone and Amber handled it well. We will for sure book her again.
Amber was kind and communicative. The kitties really seemed to love the company while we were away. Our home was spotless when we got back.
Amber was super nice and sweet with my crotchety old dog. She stayed at the house as easily worked around my flight schedule. Bruce seemed happy and I always feel better when he gets to stay home with a sitter. I will ask Amber to watch him again in the future.

I love all kinds of dogs, large or small, active or lazy. I do not have breed preferences as long as they are not aggressive and my safety is not at risk. I have owned and petsitted pit bulls, which are thought to have a reputation of being aggressive, but I know just as well as anyone else who has ever owned one that they are just big babies if they're raised right. That being said, I love all dogs as long as the individual animal does not have a history of aggression. :-)
A typical day
I like hiking and exploring the outdoors as a personal hobby, and since I did have my own dog for a number of years, I know of all kinds of fun places to take them to for walks, hikes, and outings. Trails, parks, and beaches would be the most likely destinations.
