I thought I would grow up and be a Veterinarian. However, during college, I quickly realized the reason I love animals so much was not because of lungs and livers, but because of their distinct and vastly different personalities. I struggled with my change in vocation and ultimately came to dog training. What better way to work with animals’ personalities than training. I am certified to teach dogs tracking, narcotic detection, personal protection, therapy/assisted living, trick training, Canine Good Citizen, basic obedience through off-leash obedience and behavior modification including separation anxiety, aggression, etc. I have worked on a few films training animals including Leaves of Grass with Edward Norton, Temple Grandin with Claire Daines, Friday Night Lights the NBC series when occasions arose. I have been interviewed for dog training articles for Disney Family and Society Life. I am also a member of the IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals). Meet my pets I have two well socialized dogs; a 2yr old Doberman, Eris who we rescued from the Doberman Rescue of North Texas and a 3 month old Chinese Shar Pei, Pudge, that we got after we recovered from the loss of my 12 year old Shar Pei over a year ago. My two love to play. If your fur baby plays they will get plenty of exercise. If you have an older guy or one doesn't want to play, mine will leave them be or I can separate them to allow for amble rest when needed. Written Oct: 2013 About my yard I have close to a 1/2 acre lot with a fence in both front and backyard. We have lots of trees bordering the backyard, providing shade, leaving space to run. Your dog will not be left outside unsupervised, just to be safe. I understand your dogs are your fur babies and I will not take chances. However, we will still be able to spend amble time outside together dictated by the weather. My experience administering medication I am comfortable giving medications and will do so reliably. I have even had a diabetic dog that needed daily shots, that is not a problem nor is there an extra fee.
